Weekly Astrology Forecast: May 29 - June 4

Gemini New Moon - Fractured Information Streams

All week, Venus chases the Sun, finally arriving at the conjunction just as we reach the Gemini New Moon (7:59 PM 14° Gemini) on Saturday. However, the influence of Venus only seems to create a desire to smooth over the differences — even if it means bringing in elements of deceit, pretense, denial and outright distortion of the facts. The main source of support throughout this week is the forming Mars/Chiron trine, offering courageous, emotional determination to maintain an independent position, even when no one seems to be listening. However, that independent energy needs to be consciously accessed by staying true to ourselves and our own unique position. Internal frustration builds all week when we can't seem to clearly convey our important concerns. Saturday's New Moon is particularly important because it occurs between two Sagittarius/Gemini Full Moons, restoring the New Moon to the work of initiation. This is the first Lunar cycle in 19 months that has the New Moon ahead of the Full Moon by sign (thus, restoring the full strength of the New Moon's initiatory power). The Gemini Sun's information stream struggles within the weighty Mutable Cross, involving Saturn, Jupiter & Neptune, leading to the chaos that produces a considerable distortion of facts. However, since this New Moon is initiatory, we are looking at rebuilding communication channels within an entirely new framework. Mercury remains in the shadow of it's retrograde period until next Tuesday (June 7). Once that threshold is crossed, new channels of communication will become more apparent. As we begin this week, Sunday's Pisces Moon brings moodiness and a strong desire to escape. However, we seem to regain some emotional strength on Monday which helps us to maintain an independent stance. Nonetheless, we'll still need to watch a tendency to 'people-please', which will weaken our position. Tuesday's activity is intense and emotional. Some will seek to take advantage of the chaos for personal gain. Emotions intensify on Wednesday but denial and a strong inclination to push conflicts out of view leads to significant frustration. Thursday's tension between individuals and the established order is complicated by difficult emotional blind spots that only intensifies misunderstandings. Friday's over-optimistic, rosy glow only seems to lead to time-wasting dead ends and little progress. By the time we arrive at Saturday's New Moon, there is little clarity to cut through the pretense and denial — even though it seem obvious. It will take considerable personal integrity to stand alone and apart without whitewashing the differences or attacking blindly out of frustration.
