Taurus New Moon — Stabilized New Beginning

This week's shifts are extremely powerful but may only be seen by looking deep beneath the surface — the waning 'light' of the Moon is especially 'unhelpful' in illuminating the path we're on. Vesta's arrival into Aries on Wednesday pushes forward a determined, decisive attitude that is encouraging us to release the past — cut our losses if necessary and move forward. However, deeply processing any of the 'emotional baggage' or debris that we're trying to jettison may not provide as much satisfaction as we might expect. This week's push really seems to encourage more 'forward-looking' approaches — even if we aren't really sure what we're actually 'looking forward' to. As Mars approaches a conjunction with Chiron, there are plenty of opinions about which direction we should go — as well as plenty of anticipation that we will be going somewhere soon. However, there is also a sense that no one is quite ready to make the 'first move'. Although there is strong desire for self-reliance, there is no escaping the fact that we need to stay connected to others. Both the Sun and Moon make optimistic sextiles to Jupiter ahead of Thursday's 'superior' Sun-Mercury conjunction and Saturday's Taurus New Moon (1:00 PM PDT 25° Taurus). Ceres is closely tied into the Sun-Mercury conjunction — as well as Saturday's Taurus New Moon (1:00 PM PDT 25° Taurus) — providing an undercurrent of nurturing, steady growth. The Mars-Chiron conjunction is also closely tied into the New Moon, completing less than 30 minutes after the New Moon. Chiron was also closely tied into the last lunar cycle — tightly conjunct last month's Aries New Moon and as well as conjuncting Mercury at the Scorpio Full Moon on May 1. Chiron's action is especially significant in light of the fact that Chiron will leave Aries next month and move into Taurus on June 19th (making a final 'dip' back into Aries from September 17, 2026 until April 14, 2027). However, before leaving Aries, Chiron as been sending us important messages — 'healing insights' regarding how to effectively share our individual message with integrity while also effectively connecting to and honoring the messages shared by others. Conjunct Mars, the message grows much louder this week, suggesting a 'pioneer confronting a wilderness of unexplored possibilities with fervor, determination and sensitivity.' The beginnings of true healing have already been 'seeded' but will need to be carefully nurtured in order to take full advantage of the 'heroic', rejuvenating healing capacity offered by Chiron. The liberation offered by Chiron isn't likely to be found in any sort of 'old paradigm' — this 'maverick' energy demands brave, bold, and daring exploration of the inner restrictions and blockages that we face inside of each of us. Although our explorations need to be centered inside ourselves, the New Moon's guidance is telling us to avoid isolation. Connecting our internal vision with 'group-values' is the true power offered by the new lunar cycle that begins at the end of this week.
We find an increased ability to simply "accept the things we cannot change" on Sunday and find the wisdom to recognize where we can actually make a difference. Despite whatever chaos surfaces, there is movement towards stability. The tendency on Monday is to focus on what is 'close' — what affects us directly. There is an undercurrent of impulsiveness and recklessness that needs a 'give and take'. There is some rather confusing overnight activity happening on Tuesday. We're likely to struggle for most of the day, trying to discard some emotional 'baggage'. In Wednesday's atmosphere, there is less support for actually 'processing' or analyzing what's in our past that we're setting aside or leaving behind. Rather, it's a somewhat adventurous focus on 'breaking new ground'. Thursday's deeply intellectual atmosphere may actually lead us to dip into somewhat uncomfortable 'intuitive waters'. Conversation and intellectual interaction is inspired and productive but freedom is paramount and it isn't easy to control where the conversation will lead. There is little inclination on Friday to 'push the envelope' or get out 'ahead of the pack'. But there is also an intuitive sense of optimism and hope for 'blooming stability'. There is an incredibly potent and promising surge of stability and new growth suggested on Saturday. We can finally begin to see our 'platform' and definitively express our insights and individual 'truth' in a way that has not seemed possible or effective before now.
