This week's New Moon on Tuesday (4:47 AM PDT 24° Taurus) marks a powerful awakening, shining a bright light on a new way forward. Both Mars and Uranus change signs just as they make a potently energizing square, increasing the persistence of the the already dogged determination of the Taurus New Moon. The Mars-Uranus square is in fixed signs (Mars in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus), indicating the lasting nature of the change that is initiated under the New Moon. But there is also a spiritual component at work — an awakening presented in seed form, which will need patience and tending to fully make manifest. We may suddenly recognize that the lights have been turned on and we can see things in a new way, changing our entire perspective. We may see a Bridge just ahead that leads to an enormous mountain — neither of which was visible before. The potential for spiritual awakening gives us the opportunity see a way forward as we bless and release much in the past that is somehow suddenly no longer important as we turn our gaze forward. Certainly not everyone will realize it but the signals are everywhere this week that a New Day is dawning.

Mercury arrives in Taurus on Sunday, producing a rather profound foreshadowing of the changes to come. There is a strong sense of mission, purpose or destiny. Ego concerns surface briefly on Monday and it is important to consider the rights of others and not just our own. The New Moon on Tuesday bring surprising shifts and, potentially, some challenging obstacles. Nonetheless, the seeds of change are planted. We are much more focused on the future than the past on Wednesday. Moods will be shifting quickly. We take a rather circumspect approach on Thursday, which may become even more protectionist in the afternoon once the Moon arrives in Cancer. We have crossed a metaphorical bridge by Friday and begin to scale the mountain. The journey requires perseverance. There is at least some opportunity to catch our breath on Saturday. Some may not be fully in touch with how important this week's shifts have been, while others may have become accustomed to the change in pace and direction. Either way, it's a good idea to take some time on Saturday to organize our thoughts.
