Weekly Astrology Forecast: January 4 - January 10

This week begins under a rather disruptive Full Moon which seems to provoke significant exposure along with some pretty surprising twists. Intuitive clues don't seem to fully prepare us for the unsettling feelings and vulnerabilities that many feel. To add to the uncertainty, Mercury heads into Aquarius (and retrograde territory) on Monday, increasing the imperative to disconnect from ego-driven aims and look for a more humanitarian approach to whatever we are working on. Tuesday offers support to help take advantage of the Full Moon's revelations and ride the wave of spontaneous developments into exciting new territory. However, emotional ego vulnerabilities continue to surface all week. We will need to look for some way to let go of our need for approval and avoid the tendency towards ego-driven perfectionism. Even though we desperately want to try to articulate a grand vision, defensiveness seems to follow many of us throughout the week. Nonetheless, the spiritual discoveries and insights that are available this week can help us to transcend the uncertainty and erratic communication miscues that keep cropping up. We are being encouraged to look beyond the obvious ups and downs and find the underlying patterns that keep repeating with only subtle variations. By cultivating a broader perspective, we will begin to see how minor, embarrassing setbacks can set up the opportunity for spectacular gains or enhanced credibility further down the road. This is a time to play "the long game".
