We continue to face headwinds and obstacles this week, especially when we try to effectively articulate our message to others. Mercury's sextile to Mars, at the beginning of the week, encourages us to push our message forward. However, pride and independence seem to stall a true 'give and take' of ideas. We may feel significant discouragement at times this week as the Moon 'wanes in light' and we struggle to gain traction to share our intellectual insights. There is an impatience that may lead us to throw up our hands and abandon any attempts to convince 'anyone of anything'. A mid-week Sun-Chiron trine helps us to recognize the need to 'go deeper' in order to connect our intellect with the underlying emotional challenges that keep us from effectively adapting to the dramatically shifting landscape. The Sun arrives in Virgo on Friday afternoon, producing a 'mutual reception' between Mercury and the Sun that will serve us extremely well, especially once Mercury emerges from the 'shadow' of the last retrograde phase early next week. Nonetheless, it is important to pay attention to what is happening intuitively as well as intellectually. Wednesday afternoon's Leo Moon makes powerful connections to Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto ahead of Friday night's Virgo New Moon (11:06 PM PDT 0° Virgo). A stirring sense of pride and confidence on Wednesday folds directly into the powerful initiative inspired by the New Moon. The Sun-Mercury mutual reception provides charm and charisma and helps us to recognize that we may not actually need to push as hard as we think. The New Moon squares Uranus suggesting that initiatives launched under the waxing lunar cycle have the potential for making remarkable, ground-breaking progress in ways that are both unexpected and suddenly 'obviously apparent'. As well, the New Moon forms a potent YOD with Pluto and the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, providing incredible intellectual insight and remarkable organizational abilities. But the Virgo-Aries/Aquarius quincunx can also lead us to lose our intellectual advantage when we aren't able to effectively deal with people who just won't 'see what we see'. The challenge that we have is to bring the tangible and the intangible (intellect and intuitive insight) into a workable harmony — and create miraculous breakthroughs. The coming Virgo/Pisces eclipses can help us to dispense with outmoded approaches, ideas, and beliefs — 'separate the wheat from the chaff' — and begin to adapt our strategies and approaches in order to effectively maneuver in the New World that is developing directly in front of us.

It isn't easy to 'keep the conversation going' on Sunday. Pride and independence seem to keep us from recognizing the need to express ourselves clearly to those around us or 'waste our precious time' convincing others that what we're seeing is relevant. We can begin to recognize the importance of listening to others on Monday. Dampened pride, confidence, and independence actually help us to realize that there is value in what others are pointing out. The emotional stakes are raised on Tuesday. Although we may be pulled in different directions, our ability to dynamically balance the seemingly opposite positions is significantly enhanced. We may be subject to significant emotional uncertainty during the early part of the day on Wednesday. There is deep inspiration offered in the evening's activity. Despite what may seem to be an amiable environment on Thursday, there is a need for caution. Connections with others are extremely tenuous and unreliable — despite what we may think. We are inclined to look for support outside ourselves on Friday but any support that we believe is reliable may wind up being less than satisfactory. We may also be prone to trying to promise more than we can actually deliver. Saturday's atmosphere finally offers us the chance to productively communicate our individual perspective with quiet confidence. Despite some potential for discouragement, there is a great deal of perseverance and determination offered.
