Taurus Full Moon - Surprising Stability
"Struggle is a never ending process. Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation."
— Coretta Scott King
Mercury's square to Saturn starts this week off with some challenging 'head winds', threatening to keep our minds closed to new ideas and blocking the potential for expanded perspectives. We are likely to find ourselves dealing with some entrenched beliefs — stuck on something that we can't let go of. However, faith and intuition are extremely helpful in quickly clearing the air. For the rest of the week, the 'wind is at our backs' as we head towards Friday's Taurus Full Moon (1:28 PM PST 24° Taurus/Scorpio). Venus, which rules the Full Moon, arrives in Capricorn on Monday. The Full Moon is conjunct Uranus, suggesting surprises. But in this context, the surprises may actually produce some unexpected stability. Saturn turns direct at the Full Moon, ruling both Venus as well as Pluto. Pluto turned direct last month and Saturn's direct station will provide an extra push that we can use to make the most of the transformative messages that Pluto is offering. Pluto will return to Aquarius next week, settling in for a new, 20-year era when we will learn new lessons about our individual connection to society, community, and the 'Greater Good'. The week after next, Mercury will turn retrograde in Sagittarius, suggesting an important opportunity to adjust our beliefs and align ourselves with the new era that we are embarking on. We begin to get the first hints of a shift in our perspective this week — a new 'frame of reference' which will become more fully developed under the upcoming retrograde Mercury period (November 25 - December 15). Of course, not everyone will be satisfied by how the Full Moon's stabilization 'plays out'. However, discomfort is more likely to settle in beneath the surface rather than produce open disruption. The long-term, ongoing sextile between Jupiter and Chiron gains an extra bit of traction this week, increasing our capacity for learning and understanding new perspectives. The sextile also gains some extra assistance from the mutual reception connection between Jupiter and Mercury. Essentially, we are encouraged to expand our understanding of different perspectives and we are well supported in our efforts to learn the value of new ideas and new initiatives.
We are activated on Sunday, with faith as a major, driving force. However, we need to use some discrimination in order to stay on the right track and avoid becoming swept up by false impressions and beliefs. The environment stabilizes on Monday but blocks to individual self-expression should be addressed directly. It is important to quickly 'clear the air'. We may be tempted to try to isolate on Tuesday or shelter ourselves (and our beliefs) inside of a 'bubble'. Aggressiveness surfaces late in the day and we may fight very hard to hold onto tightly held beliefs. A valuable 'communication pipeline' emerges on Wednesday, beginning to guide us to finding a new 'frame of reference'. Our intellectual ability is enhanced. We need patience on Thursday, along with an open mind. We may struggle with 'too much information'. Friday's stability seems to come as a surprise. Determination is well supported and creativity and growth are encouraged. There is a strong inclination to show conformity on Saturday although tension is high. We recognize the need to take time to consider and possibly to 'regroup'.
