This Wednesday's Libra New Moon Eclipse (11:49 AM PDT 10° Libra) sets us on a course towards some very intense emotional clearing. There is significant unrealized or unrecognized potential waiting to be explored and developed over the course of this new lunar cycle involving opening new connections and building solid trust. However, we may be hampered by the Libra desire for appropriate protocols and a balanced, orderly, and amiable process — which is hardly the way that clearing away emotional baggage usually works. The Libra imperative to find balance is challenged by several important and ultimately quite protective water trines that offer us a safety net — if we are willing to trust it. This is an atmosphere where we need to be willing to 'trust the process' of clearing away the emotional baggage that holds us back and keeps us from moving forward. We may find ourselves tempted to try to isolate in order to avoid allowing others to sidetrack us or tempt us to abandon our personal beliefs in order to 'keep the peace'. But isolation isn't really an option this week. We are especially vulnerable to worrying about what others are doing or what they may need. We are also vulnerable to deception and 'sob stories' when we aren't fully engaged with tending to our own needs. Mercury reaches the 'Superior Conjunction' with the Sun ahead of the New Moon, which begins to shift our thinking towards the future. However, both Mercury and the Sun cross the lunar South Node before they conjunct, creating significant vulnerability that challenges our mental/intellectual ability to focus directly on the future. We may be tempted to spend too much mental/intellectual effort trying to achieve a desired result instead of 'letting go and letting God'. Libra's desire for peaceful balance can encourage us to try too hard and end up 'getting our hands stuck in the wheels' of emotional processing. We have to let go of the the past before we can intellectually focus on what is ahead of us. Both Mars and Venus make trines to Saturn and the strong water sign influences (Mars in Cancer, Venus in Scorpio, and Saturn in Pisces) stir up strong emotions both before and after the New Moon. Venus in Scorpio rules the New Moon, offering powerful determination. But the emotional elements will test our determination. Significant effort is required. The challenge is to maintain our balance while letting go of the emotional baggage that is stalling our ability to open new lines of communication and build the deep sense of trust which is offered by this week's New Moon. Under the rulership of Venus in Scorpio, this Libra New Moon is powerful. The emotional elements may sometimes seem like distractions but clearing away the emotional baggage is crucial. Balancing true compassion with basic self-care will allow us to develop the sense of trust in others that is required in order to move forward effectively.

We struggle to effectively communicate what we're trying to emotionally sort through on Sunday. Honesty and self-discipline are required. Clear, effective communication continues to challenge us on Monday. Sacrifice is required in order to move forward. We are tempted to spend too much mental/intellectual effort worrying about what others are doing on Tuesday. We are also vulnerable to deception if we aren't fully engaged in tending to our own needs. There is significant unrealized or unrecognized potential instilled in the atmosphere on Wednesday under the Libra New Moon. There is a safety net available if we are willing to trust it. Energy is scattered on Thursday, making it difficult to show self-discipline. There is nervousness that suggests we are aware of the importance of making progress. We find support to begin to build a new sense of trust on Friday. Emotional stumbling blocks continue to keep us from focusing directly on the future. Although the process seems disorderly and and unfocused, considerable progress is possible on Saturday. Determination and 'follow through' will help us to open new lines of communication and begin to build trust.
