Virgo New Moon - Deliberate Process

"Let us make a special effort to stop communicating with each other, so we can have some conversation."

— Mark Twain

This week presents us with a rather tricky — mostly internal — roller coaster ride. Relationships are challenged by the square of Venus to Uranus, even as Mercury in Libra wants to build cooperation and collaboration. At times, we may concerned about how we appear to others, while at other times, we're ready to lash out with defensive criticism in some kind of attempt to keep others at arms length. Sensitivities are quite high at times this week. Although we may be trying to build alliances, we can't seem to settle down to an approach that shows others the appreciation they are looking for. We may also be unable to fully commit to any necessary compromise, leaving us feeling isolated and uncomfortable. Without the helpful input of others, we may be tempted to let our plans expand a bit too far and, in the process, create unrealistic expectations. Thursday's Virgo New Moon (4:00 AM PDT 25° Virgo), in a tight trine to Saturn, offers an important stabilizing energy for a new round of planning and steady methodical effort. Every New Moon offers a growing force energy but this New Moon offers especially potent 'seed energy' — a stable, powerful force for new initiatives. As has been the case for quite a while now, self-control and self-discipline will go far to keep us on track. But we must remain willing to take things slowly and carefully. There are still 5 retrograde planets — plus Chiron — that are encouraging more reflection and reconsideration. Careful, methodical effort, coupled with significant doses of self-examination will help us to make the most of this week's stabilizing atmosphere. The New Moon encourages us to take the planning process seriously — one step at a time — and not try to push the river. As well, showing sincere appreciation for the contribution and effort of others will yield tangible rewards not only serving the greater good but our own efforts as well.

Although there is significant promise in the stable sense of direction we feel on Sunday, we may not feel inclined to build cooperation. Others may only seem to create distractions. Monday's environment supports productive leadership but we may be weakened if we find ourselves too concerned about the approval of others. Rather than focus on who is following us, we need to focus on heading in the proper direction. Disappointment and hurt feelings may stay hidden on Tuesday with few opportunities to clear the air before Thursday's Virgo New Moon. There is a confusing lack of direction on Wednesday. We may be looking for more progress than is possible and suffer some disappointment and lethargy as a result. Thursday's Virgo New Moon brings a stabilizing growing force, allowing us to plan new initiatives. We may find important opportunities for cooperation on Friday but have some hesitance to fully commit when we are unsure of the level of appreciation we will find. There is a pull back on Saturday under the Scorpio Moon. Our confidence is shaky and we may lash out with unhelpful criticism.
