Saturn Square Neptune - Disillusioned Sensitivity

This week is dominated by Saturn square Neptune from Sagittarius to Pisces along with Jupiter in Virgo opposing Chiron in Pisces. The bold, self-willed optimism of last Tuesday's Leo New Moon (1:44 PM PDT 10° Leo) is dampened under the over-riding challenges from those slower moving planets. Despite whatever brave face we are able to display, there are powerful undercurrents of disillusionment, sensitivity and an indescribable yearning for something more. The desire for reassurance may stay just under the surface because it seems very difficult to directly ask for the approval we are looking for. Ultimately, the lessons to be learned this week center on finding our own, internal sense of self-worth. As we learn to believe in ourselves and forgive ourselves for any perceived shortcomings, we will find ourselves being drawn closer to others through our shared understanding of the human condition. Of course, such understanding requires some humility that the Sun in Leo may make us hesitant to adopt. Sensitivity is particularly high on Sunday and pedestals are dangerous perches since disillusionment is increasingly prevalent. The Moon is VOC for most of the day Monday and there may be significant effort spent trying to clear up missteps or futilely attempting to rebuild tarnished reputations. We'll do better to wait for a better atmosphere to straighten out any mistakes — we are all 'only human', after all. Tuesday brings lessening sensitivity and a more pleasant, easy-going atmosphere. However, there isn't much generosity and some may quietly slip away rather than offer to help sort out any misunderstandings. Wednesday brings a more forgiving sense of service and generosity as we begin to remember that 'what goes around comes around'. Thursday's Sagittarius Moon brings increased optimism but also intensifies the indescribable feeling that things should be better, although we can't quite say how or why. Saturn stations to go direct on Friday, beginning to put more emphasis on responsibility and methodical effort. The Moon is VOC again for most of the day Saturday, suggesting a reckless tendency to look for shortcuts that end up only being dead-ends. Some may begin to recognize the need step back from any lofty idealism and settle down to do the hard work required to investigate alternatives and take 'baby steps' towards a 'better way'.
