The overnight Moon-Pluto conjunction (3:22 AM PDT) and the Mercury-Pallas conjunction shortly thereafter (9:53 AM PDT) provides increasing hope that we can find an intellectual/intuitive route to transforming our overall perspective in order to embrace a broader sense of connection. Balance is crucial. There are extremely shortsighted impulses trying to achieve a dominant position without the necessary perspective. Balancing individual desires and intentions with a broader duty 'to humanity' will provide the most successful approach here. The Moon slowly moves towards a square to Venus today that will complete by 10:42 PM PDT, suggesting some extraordinary stubbornness that requires compromise and responsibility. There is less and less room to hide vulnerability and weakness as the Mars-Neptune conjunction (completing tomorrow) will burst the 'bubble' of any optimism.

Weekly Summary

APRIL 5 - APRIL 11

"Practice listening to your intuition, your inner voice; ask questions; be curious; see what you see; hear what you hear; and then act upon what you know to be true. "
— Clarissa Pinkola Estés

There is optimism and idealism stirring this week — but also plenty of crisis-driven, Cardinal Sign turmoil. The Moon wanes in light and the deep, base note pulse-of-change of the Saturn-Pluto sextile slowly begins to soften as the aspect separates. The imperatives may seem to dissipate or fracture. The need for deep connection and cooperation, based on authenticity and honesty, may be lost through a dissolute impatience. Nonetheless, the Sun's square to Jupiter, that was forming under last Wednesday's Libra Full Moon (7:11 PM PDT 12° Libra/Aries), completes at the beginning of the week, keeping us aware of the optimistic potential that is offered. The Moon moves into Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter) on Sunday evening, providing a surge of individual empowerment and bringing forward a 'truth-and-justice-seeking' determination. While the Moon is still in Sagittarius, Venus moves into a growth-inspiring conjunction with Ceres. That conjunction is both nurturing and deeply powerful, encouraging deep and abiding connections that are focused on caring for others. However, the need for responsibility may be easily obscured by the increasingly apparent, free-wheeling enthusiasm that can quickly turn into defensiveness if things don't fall into place immediately. The Moon arrives in Capricorn on Wednesday, making activating squares to the waning Saturn-Neptune conjunction. By Thursday, Mars arrives 'home' in Aries, marking a sharp and intense shift in tone. Restlessness and irritability roll out with a demanding sense of freedom and a determined desire to 'do as we please'. The Moon moves further into Capricorn, later in the day on Thursday, to square the Sun and Chiron in Aries. The Cardinal sign emphasis, with Mars now in Aries, creates an intense sense of crisis-driven momentum but will tend to produce some unrealistic expectations. Intuition offers some relief to help us find a clear strategy to tame the energy that is pulsing through this environment. Mercury, still in Pisces, emerges from the shadow of the last retrograde phase on Thursday as it approaches a conjunction with Pallas that will complete on Saturday. There are very productive opportunities that are offered by the Mercury-Pallas conjunction but we will need to use all of the wisdom that we have gathered under the past retrograde Mercury if we are to make the most of those opportunities. We are encouraged to embrace a broadly intuitive viewpoint in order to take advantage of what is offered. There are extremely shortsighted impulses trying to achieve a dominant position while avoiding the necessary intuitive perspective. Balancing individual desires and intentions with a broader duty 'to humanity' will provide the most successful approach as we end the week. Mercury's intuitive guidance offered in the sign of Pisces continues to offer quiet intuitive wisdom if we are able to calm ourselves enough to hear the 'whispers'. Mercury will leave Pisces by April 14th and arrive in Aries ahead of the extraordinarily activating Aries New Moon (4:51 AM PDT 27° Aries) on April 17. At that time, the Aries stellium (Neptune, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Chiron, the Sun, and the Moon) will 'super-charge' the transformative process that is underway, suggesting the injection of both bold courage and reckless impulsiveness.

There is a great deal of optimistic potential on Sunday, along with a strong desire to take action based on that perceived potential. Nonetheless, there are also extremely powerful undercurrents in the environment that may simply 'have other plans'. It is nearly impossible to miss how strong Monday's energy actually is — encouraging deep and abiding connections that have us focused on caring for others. Nonetheless, it is important to avoid overbearing attitudes of superiority. We are likely to need the support of others on Tuesday in order to avoid sacrificing our perspective and integrity due to uncertainty and a lack of individual confidence. Overconfidence and acting on misleading information is the danger. Wednesday's environment is powerful, crisis-driven, and likely to lead to further questions and the need for further clarification. We may be trying to find or hold on to some kind of established precedent that can guide us — without much success. There is an intense sense of crisis-driven momentum on Thursday as well as some unrealistic expectations. There are important intellectual/intuitive clues in the atmosphere that do help us to find a sense of clarity but the intensity of idealistic impatience has the potential to reach extreme levels. Intuition helps provide some relief to help us find a clear strategy to tame the energy that is pulsing through the environment on Friday. There are, in fact, very productive opportunities that are offered. There are extremely shortsighted impulses trying to achieve a dominant position without the necessary perspective on Saturday. Balancing individual desires and intentions with a broader duty 'to humanity' will provide the most successful approach.

Sunday April 12, 2026

Today's Mars-Neptune conjunction is overwhelmingly profound — both intensely idealistic and intensely disillusioning. The question of how we respond when our deepest ideals and beliefs seem to be savagely dashed is what we are faced with today. Mars seems to hold the upper hand here, so the responses may certainly tend towards frustrated violence. Any reliance on 'luck' is certain to be exposed. This is a deeply spiritual opportunity, despite what we may be seeing 'out there'. As we move through this week, Mars will move beyond Neptune to meet Saturn — assisted by Mercury — at the beginning of next week (April 19th). Today's 'wilderness' is actually leading us into an entirely new sense of reality that has been purged of some of our false beliefs and mistaken hopes. Perhaps the biggest challenge in today's environment is allowing cynicism to distract us from our individual pursuit of 'truth'.

Weekly Summary

APRIL 12 - APRIL 18

"Physician, heal thyself""
— Luke 4:23

The Moon wanes in light for most of this week, ahead of Friday's Aries New Moon (4:51 AM PDT 27° Aries). That New Moon, in a tight conjunction with Chiron, offers extraordinary healing insightsbut only if we are willing listen. And listening is not at all easy this week. Mercury joins the Aries stellium on Tuesday, bringing the number of planetary bodies in Aries to seven (Neptune, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Chiron, the Sun, and the Moon). Mars, ruling Aries, is certainly in the 'driver's seat' but there are no clear, easy directions offered to Mars that would suggest the effective leadership associated with Aries and Mars. Mars conjuncts Neptune at the beginning of the week. That conjunction is overwhelmingly profound — both intensely idealistic and intensely disillusioning. We are faced with the question of how we respond when our deepest ideals and beliefs seem to be savagely dashed. We carry the challenges of finding an effective response with us throughout the week. There are more endings than true beginnings this week. Mercury makes a sextile to Uranus from the last degree of Pisces to the last degree of Taurus, which only provides intuitive glimpses of the shifts that are coming with Friday's precipitous Aries New Moon. For the most part, this represents endings, rather than the pursuits of any of the initiatives that Mars — and the Aries stellium — are impulsively seeking. With Jupiter out of the spotlight, any reliance on 'luck' is likely to be exposed and the potential for frustrated violence is inescapable. But Mercury's arrival in Aries on Tuesday does certainly offer some much needed intellectual capacity that can help us to iron out some of the disillusion and cynicism pouring out of the Mars-Neptune conjunction. As Mars moves determinedly through the widening Neptune-Saturn 'gauntlet', there is an increasing recognition that letting go of our 'false beliefs' and 'mistaken hopes' is the only way to maintain any hope of stability. Both Mercury and Mars head toward a conjunction with Saturn, which will complete at the beginning next week while the Moon will be in Taurus. Both Mars and Mercury form sextiles to Pluto at the end of this week before joining Saturn. That activity carries forward the shifts and challenges that we have seen over the past few weeks under the extended Saturn-Pluto sextile. This is actually part of the important advancement of the ongoing structural shifts that go all the way back to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 2020. We are at the point in that restructuring process when we have important opportunities to make 'course corrections' through the expression of our individual perspectives. Both the greatest strength and biggest weakness of Aries is the determined independence that is seen in the sign. The strength of that independence offers powerful, pioneering leadership capability. However, 'leaders must listen to their followers' or risk isolation and the total loss of support. Mercury and Mars are offered the power of transformative insight from the sextile to Pluto. Once past the grounding limitations of Saturn and using the initiatory power of the Aries New Moon, Mars activates — and Mercury communicates — the 'pulse of change' that has been stirred over the last few weeks under the Saturn-Pluto sextile. Most importantly, the healing insights of Chiron should not be overlooked. We are being guided to learn from those insights. Chiron teaches us that we need to continue to interact with those around us, maintaining the independence of Aries — our individual integrity — while balancing the valuable input from others. Accomplishments are certainly available as we move into the new lunar cycle but only if we are able to maintain that delicate balance and listen to the message of Chiron, encouraging us to recognize the importance of our connections to others.

Sunday's 'wilderness' is actually leading us into an entirely new sense of reality that has been purged of some of our false beliefs and mistaken hopes. Perhaps the biggest challenge in the environment is allowing cynicism to distract us from our individual pursuit of 'truth'. Monday offers some hope of dispelling some of the cynicism in pursuit of new ideals, new hopes, and new directions. Distractions abound. Tuesday brings forward some much needed intellectual capacity, helping us to iron out some of the disillusion and cynicism of the past few days. Nonetheless, the intellectual assistance struggles to control the impulsive, yet frustrated, martian energy that is intensifying to extraordinary levels. There is an extraordinary level of healing insight available on Thursday if we are willing to listen for it. We are offered the power of transformative insight. The importance of recognizing the perspectives of others may be easy to miss on Friday in the excitement and intensity of the environment. The 'pot is stirred', bringing to the surface the deep, transformative demands of the overall atmosphere. Perhaps the most important element in Saturday's activity is the need to avoid becoming sidetracked. We also need to continue to interact with those around us, maintaining our individual integrity while balancing input from others.

Monday April 13, 2026

The Moon is briefly VOC following an early morning Moon-Uranus square (12:42 AM PDT). Also overnight, Venus completes a sextile to Jupiter (1:20 AM PDT) that is quickly followed up by the Moon's arrival in Pisces. Today's Pisces Moon and the Venus-Jupiter sextile serves to restore some of the inspirational strength of Neptune, providing some hope of dispelling cynicism in the pursuit of new ideals, new hopes, and new directions. Nonetheless, the Pisces Moon is waning in light and there are more 'endings' today than any clear sense of a 'new path forward'. Distractions abound, potentially directing our focus towards 'grieving the past', instead of recognizing what is developing ahead of us.
