Weekly Summary: JULY 5 - JULY 11

"He who does not trust enough, Will not be trusted."
— Lao Tzu

Even though the Moon wanes in light, there is still plenty of intensity to process this week, beginning with a Mars-Pluto trine. Mars makes the final connection — the trine to Pluto — with the 'Big 3' (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) on Sunday. But when the Moon arrives in Aries the following day, on Monday, we're likely to actually see the 'lid coming off', as the journey of Mars through Gemini assumes a powerful 'direct action', communication platform. Intellect is stirred in dramatic fashion — the retrograde Mercury notwithstanding. There is extraordinary courage to challenge whatever seems to be blocking our path, powerfully assisted by the responsibility that is demanded by the Sun's square to Saturn. The energy truly seems 'unstoppable'. Neptune, which has been slowing down for some time now, finally stations retrograde on Tuesday, lending emphasis to the building demands that we ground our inspiration with tangible action. We're still in the process of finding ways to integrate the the swirls of powerful intellect with intense emotional factors. The challenge presented under the retrograding Mercury brings up the reexamination of our dependence on others which must be balanced with our need for independence and 'freedom of thought'. For some, the challenges of dependency may be leading to a great deal of emotional turmoil. We are being offered an opportunity to reexamine our situation and begin to make new commitments that will — hopefully — lead to a more equitable balance between freedom and security. Venus arrives in Virgo by Thursday, adding further challenges to our dependence on the input of others — "Who can we really trust?" Venus also begins to 'see' the challenges of next week's square to Uranus and the followup square to Mars coming on July 29th, which will continue to increase our discomfort surrounding our dependence on the input that we receive from others. Venus, Mars, and Uranus are all in signs that are ruled by the retrograding Mercury. We may be easily lured into a belief that it is the 'bad advice' from others that is contributing to our disappointments. The lessons of personal accountability involving our individual initiatives will become increasingly challenging following Mercury's inferior conjunction with the Sun next Monday, as well as at the beginning of the next lunar cycle at the Cancer New Moon (2:34 AM PDT, 21° Cancer). We may begin to drift towards isolation and try to avoid commitments of any kind if we feel that we are losing our independence. However, our need for others won't be going away any time soon — which is the ultimate lesson that we begin to run into this week.

Intellect and intuition are surprisingly in sync on Sunday. We reach an intense culmination of incredibly insightful opportunities for profound breakthroughs. There is extraordinary courage to challenge whatever seems to be blocking our path on Monday. The 'lid comes off' of some powerful energies and, for better or worse, the energy seems quite unstoppable. Tuesday brings something of a 'gut check' — suggesting some degree of 'questioning' that presents challenges to our interactions with others, bringing a bit more circumspection. There is plenty of support for quickly correcting our mistakes or at least recognizing a clear path to make future adjustments with hope that we haven't completely lost our chance for redemption. On Wednesday, the challenge of depending on others while maintaining our freedom begins to draw increasing focus. For some, the challenges of dependency may be leading to a great deal of emotional turmoil. It is especially difficult to trust the broad generosity and optimism suggested by Thursday's environment. We're beginning to suspect that there are hidden price tags on just about everything. There are few 'hiding places' in Friday's environment. The challenge is feeling comfortable enough to share our nervousness or vulnerability with others in order to gain enough support to establish a firm footing. We are in somewhat of a holding pattern on Saturday. There is a strong tendency towards isolation and continued difficulty in establishing trust.

Sunday July 05, 2026

Mars makes the final connection to the 'Big 3' (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) today with a trine to Pluto early this morning (6:06 AM PDT). The message coming from the connections that Mars has made over the past couple of days may not be fully seen until the Moon reaches Aries tomorrow morning. Nonetheless, we're likely to 'feel' how important those connections have been today. Intellect and intuition are surprisingly in sync today and the Moon's trine to the retrograde Mercury this evening (10:20 PM PDT) brings to a culmination the incredibly insightful opportunities that are offered today. Ultimately, we may have more 'real' power today than we will see tomorrow when the 'lid comes off' of the incredible energy that has been gathered by the connections that Mars has just made.

Monday July 06, 2026

The Moon's arrival into Aries this morning (8:06 AM PDT) essentially 'takes the lid off' the discoveries offered by the journey of Mars through the early degrees of Gemini. Intellect is stirred in dramatic fashion — the retrograde Mercury notwithstanding. There is extraordinary courage to challenge whatever seems to be blocking our path, powerfully assisted by the responsibility that is demanded by the Sun's square to Saturn. Today's atmosphere is extremely determined, offering guided instinct and potent idealism — stirred by this morning's Moon-Jupiter trine and further encouraged by this afternoon's Moon-Neptune conjunction (4:11 PM PDT). For better or worse, today's energy seems quite unstoppable.

Tuesday July 07, 2026

Neptune stations retrograde today, demanding that we ground our inspiration with tangible action. Today represents something of a 'gut check' — suggesting some degree of 'questioning' that presents challenges to our interactions with others. Venus is nearing a conjunction with the lunar South Node that will complete by Thursday, which will find us questioning the wisdom of where we have placed our trust. We are increasingly aware of the 'prices that we pay for the choices that we make' today. Yesterday's heightened intellect becomes quite a bit more circumspect and the retrograde motion of Mercury begins to take our focus more directly. Nonetheless, there is plenty of support here for quickly correcting our mistakes or at least recognizing a clear path to make future adjustments with hope that we haven't completely lost our chance for redemption.

Wednesday July 08, 2026

The Moon makes a trine to Venus this morning (11:41 AM PDT) and then goes briefly VOC until arriving in stabilizing Taurus by 1:30 PM PDT. The process of 'reexamination' is in full swing today, guided by the retrograde Mercury's concerns around independence and security. The challenge of depending on others while maintaining our freedom is beginning to draw increasing focus. For some, the challenges of dependency may be leading to a great deal of emotional turmoil. We are being offered an opportunity to reexamine our situation and begin to make new commitments that will — hopefully — lead to a more equitable balance between freedom and security.

Thursday July 09, 2026

Venus arrives in Virgo today — running directly into a conjunction with the lunar South Node. Venus also begins to 'see' the upcoming squares to Uranus and Mars, which is particularly uncomfortable in this environment. It is especially difficult to trust the broad generosity and optimism suggested by today's environment. We're beginning to suspect that there are hidden price tags on just about everything. Even the Venus-Chiron trine doesn't really seem to give us enough confidence to share our compassion with those around us with full commitment — which is how we are actually prone to miss today's true opportunities. We may be easily lured into a belief that it is the 'bad advice' of others that has led to our disappointment or distrust. The importance of individual initiative and personal accountability is the most important lesson here.

Friday July 10, 2026

The Moon goes VOC following an early morning (3:12 AM PDT) sextile to Mercury. We're likely to struggle to get comfortable in some way or another until the Moon arrives in Gemini at 3:41 PM PDT this afternoon — but then new bouts of nervousness are compounded by a quick Moon-Venus square with both in signs ruled by the retrograding Mercury. There are few 'hiding places' in this environment. The challenge is feeling comfortable enough to share our nervousness or vulnerability with others in order to gain enough support to establish a firm footing. The Moon is waning in light, suggesting that this is an environment that is dissipating in intensity. In other words, 'This too shall pass'.

Saturday July 11, 2026

It isn't easy to establish or identify a true 'sense of purpose' today but if we are dedicated to something beyond ourselves, there is some support to 'persist'. We are in somewhat of a holding pattern here. There is a strong tendency towards isolation and continued difficulty in establishing trust. The retrograding Mercury is continuing to force reexamination of what we believed to have been a stable foundation. However, we have several 'cycles' ahead of us before we can actually set upon a new course towards true stability. We aren't comfortable making clear commitments but neither are we confident in any commitments that are offered by others. What seems like cold calculation may, in fact, be the most productive approach — at least until we get to Tuesday's Cancer New Moon (2:43 AM PDT 21° Cancer).

Today is Sunday July 12, 2026

Weekly Summary: JULY 12 - JULY 18

"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."
— Henry David Thoreau

We reach (at least) two extremely important milestones in the waxing cycles of the three 'outer planets' this week, connected to significant societal and cultural shifts. Uranus in Gemini completes the first of three exact sextiles to Neptune in Aries on Wednesday, marking an important milestone in the cycle that began under the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn in 1993. (That conjunction is often most associated with the 'jump start' of the World Wide Web. The European Union was also formally established that year.) The 3rd and final sextile — with both Uranus and Neptune direct — will complete next June (2027). On Friday of this week, Uranus also completes the first of five exact trines with Pluto in Aquarius. The fifth trine of this series won't complete until May 2028. This 'opening trine' of the waxing Uranus-Pluto cycle builds on what was 'seeded' during the conjunction that occurred in 1965. (Of course, this conjunction ties directly into the societal and cultural upheaval of the 1960s.) It is also important to note that we are currently in the midst of an extended Neptune and Pluto sextile that is in 'orb' for nearly 80 years. (The first completion of that sextile occurred in 1950, with Pluto in Leo and Neptune in Libra. That sextile has made several exact connections with a final completion due in 2032. This sextile is generally considered to coincide with an extended renaissance period.) One of several in the series of exact sextiles between Pluto and Neptune will actually occur next Friday, July 24th, which further emphasizes the heightened energies that are converging as these planetary cycles combine. Jupiter is pulling all of these important connections together. By the end of this week, Jupiter reaches 4° Leo, and will complete a sextile to Uranus, a trine to Neptune, and an opposition to Pluto — over the course of just two days — Monday and Tuesday of next week. Jupiter in Leo encourages exuberant, creative, dramatic, demonstrative expression and is generally expansive and optimistic. Jupiter's involvement certainly applies a crescendo effect to this moment but makes just one, single pass to set off these connections. Jupiter's optimism can often be misleading and the extraordinary preponderance of barely contained 'Air' and 'Fire' element energies in this atmosphere do certainly stimulate our intellect and inspire action — but the 'Air' (Mars, Uranus, and Pluto) and 'Fire' (Saturn, Jupiter, and Neptune) elements do not offer much inherent stability, offering little to ground Jupiter's expansive optimism with tangible progress — at least, in this moment. A great deal of effort will be required if we are going to actually manifest the idealistic, inspirational visions that are 'kindled' this week.

This week begins with Mercury's inferior conjunction with the Sun. That conjunction offers a powerful activation of whatever integration that we have been able to manifest as we reach the end of the last lunar cycle — the Gemini New Moon, June 14th (7:53 PM PDT 24° Gemini) — which has encouraged us to find a balance between our intellectual and emotional understanding. Following the activation from the Sun-Mercury conjunction, this Tuesday's Cancer New Moon (2:43 AM PDT 21° Cancer) brings a significant restless rebelliousness. But we don't find many quick outlets for that restlessness even after the Moon moves into Leo. The Leo Moon squares Chiron and 'carries the light' into a conjunction with Jupiter — as Jupiter approaches all of the significant aspects described above — which compounds a lack of any clear direction or reliable intuition. We are more likely to linger on the pursuit of vaguely egocentric 'spiritual rainbows' instead of using Leo's will-power to confidently lay out a new course. Emotional sensitivity temporarily overrides any of the initial potential of the New Moon's energy. Nonetheless, this week's 'lunar cycle reset' is likely to be far more 'precipitous' than we can fully recognize from the perspectives that we are offered this week. Mercury's retrograde activity in Cancer is suggesting that depending on others for our stability may create untenable limitations to our independence and freedom of thought — ultimately encouraging us to find stability 'within'. A forming Mars-Saturn sextile (which will complete at the beginning of next week) offers a bit of promising restraint and self-discipline that may provide an improved sense of direction and help us to harness the expansive optimism emanating from Jupiter. Nonetheless, while the 'Air' and 'Fire' elements in this atmosphere are certainly 'kindling' a great deal of powerful inspiration, stability seems to be extremely difficult to manifest. There will be very few 'Earth/Water' connections over the next few months to offer some balance with the 'Air' and 'Fire' elements, which will draw more and more of our attention. The need to find stability within will remain important throughout the rest of this year.

There is a significant 'activation' underway on Sunday that can help us to ground our intellect. We have an opportunity to gain our footing in a very powerful way. There is some restlessness or a lack of commitment on Monday. This represents a rather surprising 'take it or leave it' ultimatum, which suggests a much more comprehensive 'set of demands' than we might be expecting. There is quite a significant restless rebelliousness on Tuesday. We are more likely to linger on the pursuit of vaguely egocentric 'spiritual rainbows' instead of confidently laying out a new course. There isn't much inner confidence on Wednesday and the broader desire for a 'deeper connection' seems to be rather elusive. There is a strikingly self-centered impulse that seems to dominate the environment on Thursday. The atmosphere does not really offer much to suggest that we can ground our restlessness with a new plan of action. There is an extraordinary preponderance of barely contained energies in Friday's atmosphere, stimulating our intellect and inspiring action — but not providing any inherent stability. There are only some quiet whispers that plea for stability. We can feel the tangible expansion of restless rebelliousness on Saturday. The overall effects may actually produce a great deal of optimism — which may not be as reliable as we might want to believe.

Sunday July 12, 2026

The Moon is VOC until arriving in Cancer this afternoon at 3:46 PM PDT — ahead of Mercury's inferior conjunction with the Sun at 6:25 PM PDT. That conjunction offers a powerful activation of whatever integration that we have been able to manifest — under this soon-to-complete, waning lunar cycle — between our intellectual and emotional insight and understanding. This evening's Cancer Moon is extraordinarily activating, making a sextile to Venus, a square to Neptune, and a Quincunx to Pluto. This evening's powerful — if short-lived — YOD, involving the Moon, Venus, and Pluto can help us to ground our intellect just enough to allow us to gain our footing in time to prepare for Tuesday morning's Cancer New Moon (2:43 AM PDT 21° Cancer).

Monday July 13, 2026

Today's Venus-Uranus square may suggest some restlessness or a lack of commitment. Nonetheless, Venus also forms an extremely powerful YOD with Neptune and Pluto, offering Venus a platform to lay out the details of what is required in order to establish meaningful trust. This represents a rather surprising 'take it or leave it' ultimatum, which suggests a much more comprehensive 'set of demands' than we might be expecting. Tomorrow morning's Cancer New Moon (2:43 AM PDT 21° Cancer) makes only a square to Vesta before going VOC for much of the day. But today's activity is actually preparatory, 'seeding' a potent set of determined intentions and demands into the next lunar cycle.

Tuesday July 14, 2026

The Moon goes VOC this morning, following the Cancer New Moon (2:43 AM PDT 21° Cancer) and won't arrive in Leo until 3:34 PM PDT this afternoon. There is quite a significant restless rebelliousness in this new lunar cycle that is immediately apparent in today's atmosphere. We won't find many quick outlets for that restlessness even after the Moon's arrival in Leo. The Moon squares Chiron (4:41 PM PDT) and 'carries the light' into a conjunction with Jupiter (8:48 PM PDT), which only compounds the lack of any clear direction or reliable intuition. We are more likely to linger on the pursuit of vaguely egocentric 'spiritual rainbows' instead of using Leo's will-power to confidently lay out a new course. Emotional sensitivity seems to temporarily override any of the initial potential of the New Moon's energy. Nonetheless, today's 'lunar cycle reset' is likely far more 'precipitous' than we can fully recognize from today's perspective.

Wednesday July 15, 2026

Uranus completes the first of three exact sextiles to Neptune today, emphasizing one particular element of the dramatic shifts underway this month — marking an important milestone in the cycle that began under the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn in 1993. The 3rd and final sextile — with both planets direct — will complete next June (2027). In today's context, the Moon's sextile to Mars and trine to Saturn (3:26 PM PDT) produces a rather dramatic 'flair', that magnifies an ego driven desire for attention. However, there isn't much inner confidence here and the broader desire for a 'deeper connection' seems to be rather elusive. The Moon is VOC following the trine to Saturn (3:46 PM PDT) and won't arrive in Virgo until late tomorrow afternoon. There is a strikingly self-centered impulse that seems to dominate today's environment.

Thursday July 16, 2026

The Moon is VOC for much of the day today until arriving in Virgo late this afternoon (5:06 PM PDT). There seems to be quite a bit of 'going through the motions'. Leadership wanes and there isn't a clear sense of direction. Trying to fill the 'leadership void' is only likely to lead to even less productive activity. Once in Virgo, the Moon conjuncts the lunar South Node and makes a trine to Chiron (6:20 PM PDT). There is some suggestion that we do eventually find our footing late in the day. However, this atmosphere does not really offer much to suggest that we can ground our restlessness with a new plan of action. Nonetheless, intuition does offer some guidance, helping us to discover a more productive approach that we might be able to implement tomorrow. As Jupiter approaches the opposition to Pluto — and also a sextile to Uranus and trine to Neptune — there is a building awareness of the need to 'do something' to implement significant change.

Friday July 17, 2026

This morning's Moon-Venus conjunction (8:05 AM PDT) in Virgo offers a modest hint of a grounded perspective. We may recognize the opportunity to find our footing with at least a minimal amount of grounded, 'Earth Sign' energy. Uranus in Gemini completes the first of five exact trines with Pluto in Aquarius today. The fifth trine of this series won't complete until May 2028 — marking the lengthy, intense period of dramatic shifts that will be underway for the next few years. There is an extraordinary preponderance of barely contained 'Air' and 'Fire' element energies in this atmosphere, stimulating our intellect and inspiring action — but not providing inherent stability. Today's Virgo Moon goes on to connect with the retrograding Mercury in Cancer this evening (11:49 PM PDT) — an 'Earth/Water' connection that quietly whispers a plea for some stability. Mercury's retrograde activity in Cancer is suggesting that depending on others for our stability may create untenable limitations — encouraging us to find stability 'within'. There will be very few 'Earth/Water' connections over the next few months, as the 'Air' and 'Fire' elements draw more and more of our attention.

Saturday July 18, 2026

The Moon completes a sextile to the Sun this afternoon (3:12 PM PDT) before going VOC until arriving in Libra this evening shortly before 10 PM PDT. We can feel the tangible expansion of the new lunar cycle's restless rebelliousness under the Sun-Moon sextile. A forming Mars-Saturn sextile (which will complete tomorrow morning) offers a bit of promising restraint and self-discipline that may provide an improved sense of direction. Nonetheless, Jupiter reaches 4° of Leo today and will make exact connections to Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus by Monday, which will dramatically expand the impact of this week's Uranus/Pluto and Uranus/Neptune connections. The overall effects may actually produce a great deal of optimism — which may not be as reliable as we might want to believe. In today's context, the optimism may feel like quite a relief — even if it is only temporary. Certainly, there is considerable support for the development of a new sense of direction. However, the tangible implementation is likely to be much more daunting than we can actually see from today's perspective.

Weekly Summary: JULY 19 - JULY 25

"To state the facts frankly is not to despair the future nor indict the past. The prudent heir takes careful inventory of his legacies and gives a faithful accounting to those whom he owes an obligation of trust."
— John F. Kennedy

Jupiter completes a highly optimistic, inspirational trine to Neptune and an activating, powerfully transformative opposition to Pluto on Monday of this week. An innovative, intellectually expansive Jupiter-Uranus sextile completes the following day — fully completing the coordinated interactions between Jupiter and the three 'Outer Planets'. The completion of these coordinating aspects coincides almost exactly with an intensely activating 1st Quarter Moon — the Moon making the waxing square to the Sun, from Libra to Cancer. Jupiter's sextile to Uranus, coinciding with the 1st Quarter Moon offers extraordinary idealism and inspiration but needs support and reassurance in order to 'follow through' and effectively process the deeper shifts that are underway — a daunting and potentially overwhelming proposition. While we may feel the incredibly activating energies in this week's environment, it is important to recognize that there are much larger processes underway that will take a significant amount of time to 'play out'. Jupiter's benefic qualities certainly suggest good fortune — luck — as well as increased optimism. However, if we rely only on Jupiter's luck, we are prone to find that the luck can often run out before we know it — easy come, easy go. The good fortune of Jupiter always requires the self-discipline of Saturn in order to manifest the wisdom that Jupiter is seeking to discover — the significance of the Jupiter-Saturn interaction is well understood. It is important to recognize that Jupiter's involvement in this initial series of consequential connections with the 'Outer Planets' suggests not only optimism but also, the initiation of a truth-seeking exploration process — encouraged, of course, not only by the innovation of Uranus but also the inspiration of Neptune and the transformative intensity of Pluto. The initiation of this exploration and the inspiring, transformative, innovation process will be underway throughout the ongoing outer planet connections, culminating with the final Pluto-Uranus trine in May of 2028. Jupiter provides the initial expansive optimism of this process but not necessarily the self-discipline and 'follow through' that will be required. It is interesting to note, however, that both Chiron and Saturn will conjunct in Taurus, following that May, 2028 trine and make subsequent follow-up squares to Pluto during the months of June and July of 2028. In general, Jupiter's truth-seeking explorations and discoveries can be seen as a preparation for the building of Saturn's 'structures". In other words, once Jupiter 'Discovers the New World', Saturn takes over to erect and test the structures proposed by Jupiter's discoveries. The inspiration and innovation of the ongoing exploratory processes that are initiated this week will be tested for their structural validity once we reach the waxing Saturn-Pluto square in 2028, which reflects all the way back to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of early 2020.

Mercury is 'practically' stationary this week — remaining on the same degree of Cancer all week — and returns to direct motion by Thursday. The Sun reaches Leo on the day before Mercury's direct station. By next week, the Sun will 'follow-up' on this week's potentially auspicious connections that Jupiter has made with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Although all of these developments might suggest a great deal of momentous activity, what we are most likely to see this week is actually a significant slowdown. In this week's atmosphere it is especially important to remain vigilant with our 'fact-checking', encouraged and supported quite effectively by the sextile of Venus to the stationary direct Mercury. Mercury's retrograde motion in Cancer has encouraged us to better integrate our emotional perspectives with our intellectual understanding, protecting our freedom of thought while finding more reliable ways of independently maintaining our security and stability. This has also been a process that has encouraged us to more honestly assess the validity of our deepest instincts, setting aside trauma-based responses and embracing a clearer perspective on our situations and circumstances. As we reach the end of the retrograde phase of Mercury, we are offered important opportunities to 'lay groundwork' — a Mars-Saturn sextile at the beginning of the week improves our self-discipline — but we still need to maintain a discriminating perspective and 'check our facts' methodically, especially throughout this week. We will learn much more after further investigation — assume nothing! By Friday, a Sagittarius Moon 'lights up' the intense 'Fire Sign Energy' in this week's atmosphere. The Moon makes a trine to Neptune and a sextile to Pluto, as we reach the completion of another in the ongoing series of Pluto-Neptune sextiles (the extended Pluto-Neptune sextile has been in 'orb' since before the first completion in 1950 and will begin to separate following the final completion in 2032). However, this 'action oriented' environment at the end of the week is mainly driven by instinct and is rather unrestrained and lacking in clear direction. As we get closer to next Wednesday's Aquarius Full Moon (7:35 AM PDT 6° Aquarius/Leo), we will begin to gain more and more traction in order to fully engage in the remarkable exploratory process that is seems to get a rather slow start this week. The Sun will conjunct Jupiter at the Full Moon as the Full Moon moves over Pluto. Next week's Full Moon will fully energize the extraordinary exploratory process, despite this week's seemingly 'slow start'.

In Sunday's atmosphere, it is especially important to remain vigilant in doing 'fact-checking'. We will need to do whatever we can to maintain our balance — particularly if we feel that our loyalties are being pulled in opposing directions. We are offered important opportunities to 'lay groundwork' on Monday but the need to maintain a discriminating perspective and 'check our facts' remains extremely important. While there is support for investigation, we may still be easily convinced that it's better not to 'rock the boat' — which is more than likely to be a trap. Our sense of direction is challenged on Tuesday with any number of distractions and tempting 'dead ends'. We are likely to prefer to 'bide our time', rather than strike out too far in any particular direction. We may feel a sense of imperative on Wednesday — 'something must be done'. However, the overall environment seems to stall our resolve or our confidence. We are likely to continue to experience bouts of suspicion for much of the day on Thursday. The value of 'letting go' is especially meaningful since we are especially likely to 'strain at gnats' or obsess over details that will soon be recognized to be 'beside the point'. Friday's 'action oriented' environment is mainly driven by instinct and is rather unrestrained. Nonetheless, we do find some support to help us to stay grounded and aware of the need for comprehensive planning and consideration. The lack of restraint intensifies and there is little clear sense of purpose or direction. We may be prone to isolation on Saturday or at least prefer to act without 'consultation'. Determined independence doesn't offer the sort of productive progress that we may believe it will.

Sunday July 19, 2026

Mercury will station direct by Thursday but reaches the degree of that retrograde station early this evening. Mercury's slowdown is a reminder of the importance of 'checking our facts'. The retrograde process has been a reminder of the need to integrate emotional and intellectual understanding. That process has provided important context for the major planetary connections that are coming into full focus this week. The Moon connects with all of the 'major players' this morning — all before 6:30 AM PDT — forming a Grand Air Trine with Uranus and Pluto, as well as an opposition to Neptune and sextile to Jupiter. By 11:10 AM PDT, a Mars-Saturn sextile encourages us to maintain personal restraint and self-discipline. Nonetheless, in today's atmosphere it is especially important to remain vigilant in our 'fact-checking', doing whatever that we can do to maintain our balance — particularly if we feel that our loyalties are being pulled in opposing directions.

Monday July 20, 2026

Jupiter completes the trine to Neptune and opposition to Pluto today (the coordinating sextile to Uranus will complete early tomorrow morning, coinciding exactly with the activating 1st Quarter Lunar Phase). Today's Libra Moon keeps the Mars-Saturn sextile activated with a trine to Mars and an opposition to Saturn, encouraging us to maintain personal self-discipline. We are offered important opportunities to 'lay groundwork' today but the need to maintain a discriminating perspective and 'check our facts' remains extremely important. We will learn much more after further investigation — assume nothing! The Libra Moon, ruled by Venus in Virgo, certainly offers us support for any investigation but we may still be easily convinced that it's better not to 'rock the boat' — which is more than likely to be a trap.

Tuesday July 21, 2026

Today's 1st Quarter Moon is extremely activating. Nonetheless, our sense of direction is challenged with any number of distractions and tempting 'dead ends'. The Moon is briefly VOC this morning, from 4:05 AM PDT until 6:34 AM PDT. Jupiter's sextile to Uranus, coinciding with the 1st Quarter Moon offers extraordinary idealism and inspiration but needs support and reassurance in order to 'follow through'. The Moon's arrival in Scorpio (6:34 AM PDT) is more likely to suggest suspicion rather than determination. This afternoon's Moon-Pluto square (3:10 PM PDT) only compounds that suspicion, keeping us more focused on 'standing our ground' instead of taking the initiative. As Mercury slows down to station direct on Thursday, we are even more likely to prefer to 'bide our time', rather than strike out too far in any particular direction.

Wednesday July 22, 2026

The Sun arrives in Leo this afternoon. By next week, the Sun will 'follow-up' on this week's Jupiter's transits that have made connections with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The Moon makes an important trine to Mercury this afternoon at 2:48 PM PDT before going VOC until late tomorrow afternoon (6:06 PM PDT). The Moon-Mercury connection, ahead of Mercury's direct station tomorrow, increases a sense of imperative — 'something must be done'. However, this evening's Venus-Saturn quincunx is likely to stall our resolve or our confidence — despite the Sun's arrival in courageous Leo. Hopefully, we have found ways to integrate our intellect with the emotional imperatives at least enough to recognize the need for comprehensive planning and clear 'intentions'. It is still important to 'check facts' and our 'follow through' needs to be methodical. The swirling energies won't actually reach a clear crescendo until next Wednesday's Aquarius Full Moon (7:35 AM PDT 6° Aquarius/Leo).

Thursday July 23, 2026

Mercury stations direct today. The Moon is VOC in Scorpio until 6:06 PM PDT. We're more than likely to feel 'stalled' — perhaps even paralyzed — until after the Moon arrives in Sagittarius. We are likely to continue to experience bouts of suspicion for much of the day. However, today offers an important opportunity to recognize the messages offered by the lunar nodes on the cusp of Pisces/Virgo axis before they move on to the Aquarius/Leo axis at the beginning of next week. The value of 'letting go', offered through the Pisces North Node, is especially meaningful today since we are especially likely to 'strain at gnats' or obsess over details that will soon be recognized to be 'beside the point'.

Today's Sagittarius Moon 'lights up' the intense 'Fire Sign Energy' in today's atmosphere. The Moon's early morning trine to Neptune and sextile to Pluto amplifies the completion of another in the series of Pluto-Neptune sextiles (the extended Pluto-Neptune sextile has been in 'orb' since before the first completion in 1950 and will begin to separate following the final completion in 2032). This 'action oriented' environment is mainly driven by instinct and is rather unrestrained. Venus makes a sextile to the newly direct Mercury today that goes a long way towards helping us to stay grounded and aware of the need for comprehensive planning and consideration — which seems to be otherwise lacking in today's atmosphere.

The Moon goes VOC in Sagittarius following this morning's Moon-Mars opposition at 7:57 AM PDT and won't arrive in Capricorn until tomorrow morning. The lack of restraint intensifies from yesterday's instinct driven initiatives — there is little clear sense of purpose or direction. We may be prone to isolation today or at least prefer to act without 'consultation'. Determined independence doesn't offer the sort of productive progress that we may believe it will. In truth, we are especially in need of the support of others today as we work to adapt to the increasingly 'novel' environment that is developing around us.
