Cancer New Moon - July 18th, 2012

The Cancer New Moon tonight (July 18th)  is at 9:24 PDT right on the edge of 26º Cancer.  While most of the action right now is earlier in the signs - from 7º to 11º - the New Moon is late. In fact, the Moon goes void-of-course after starting it's new phase.  From what I can tell, it appears that the period about 6 hours after the New Moon, and continuing throughout the day tomorrow is when the we see some significant opportunity to take advantage of the new  impetus of  this New Moon.  The Moon moves into Leo and sets off the amazing Mercury(Leo) - Pluto(Capricorn) / Chiron(Pisces) quincunx, which is bringing a powerful will aligned with intuitive hope to offer spiritual healing within the current environment.

The New Moon is on the cusp of 27º Cancer and the Sun will be on this degree all day following the New Moon:

"This influence lies dormant until, like the sleeping princess, it is awakened. It is likely to fade again after each stimulus subsides. A sudden disaster could produce an abundance of healing from this degree. It seems to provide whatever is asked for. It is similar to the "genie" in the magic lamp... "

This New Moon seems to offer healing opportunities for those who are most in need.  While it may be rather subtle compared with some of the recent, rousing eclipses, this New Moon offers significant opportunity for dramatic healing and long hoped-for resolutions.
