Weekly Horoscope: October 16 - October 22

Mars Pluto Conjunction - Intense Transformation

We begin this week riding the energy of last Saturday's Full Moon (9:23 PM PDT 23° Aries/Libra), eventually leading to a crisis-driven unwinding process. The Mars Pluto conjunction, early on Wednesday morning, initiates a dramatically intense period of transformation. The ramifications of that conjunction won't be fully apparent until at least the Mars/Uranus square next Thursday (October 27th). The next New Moon (October 30th 7° Scorpio) will set us off on a brand new course based on the new information we discover and the adjustments we make before that turning point. Navigating the highly excitable and uncertain environment this week won't be easy. We may see plenty of tempting side roads and off ramps but we aren't likely to find any way to really get away from the pressure for very long. Nonetheless, there's plenty of support for creative problem solving if we can maintain a plumb line to responsible, steady persistence.

We may find ourselves slowed down by health issues on Sunday, related to Saturday's stressful Full Moon. Some will be determined to continue searching for answers while others would prefer to just 'give it a rest'. The Moon is VOC most of the day Monday, offering a brief window to absorb the significant changes that are underway. Mars aims towards the conjunction with Pluto on Tuesday, producing an intense but uncertain atmosphere. There is a superficial, lighthearted attitude on display that covers up much of what is really happening beneath the surface. Wednesday brings an onslaught of excitable chatter but little to provide us with deeper understanding of what's really important. Thursday's Cancer Moon brings a wave of sensitivity that encourages us to withdraw but, by Friday, there aren't many hiding places. The crisis-driven atmosphere of Friday's Cardinal Cross is likely to lead to some defensiveness and discouragement. The Sun arrives in Scorpio on Saturday, and it may feel like we're grinding the gears as we try to adapt to the new environment. We'll need to avoid trying to 'people please' and tame the Leo Moon's need for approval. The unwinding process is ongoing and we'll need as much self-confidence and determination as we can muster.
