Our luck may run out or we may find ourselves 'cut off' from a source of support. Today's struggles may highlight a significant imbalance or a lack of equity that stirs some kind of backlash. We need to hold a level of objectivity and accept any reward or punishment that we face. If we are willing to recognize the loss of some kind of important connection, we can direct our focus toward restoring that connection.

Both Saturn and Mercury station direct this week in the midst of the ongoing series of Grand Water Trines. Saturn's direct station raises the stakes, bringing a powerful idealistic zeal into the deeply emotional environment. Saturn's demanding determination is well supported by the new information coming into focus under the direct station of Mercury. However, the strength of Saturn does bring a temptation to try to 'take charge' — assume control in order to demonstrate our mastery over others. But making overt demands in this watery — slippery — environment is only likely to bring about increasingly intense frustration. Grounding is needed in order to tame the idealism and slow down enough to adapt to the stationary direct motion of Saturn and Mercury. Mercury is winding up a review process that, in cooperation with Saturn and Jupiter, has laid a strong, intellectual foundation to help us follow through on the extraordinary initiative of last Wednesday's Scorpio New Moon (10:46 PM PST 28° Scorpio). Venus forms the most benefic expression of this powerful Grand Water Sign energy on Wednesday, offering a watershed of creativity and intense, beneficial connections. More and more options and opportunities are surfacing this week. As well, we begin to develop the confidence to explore new possibilities without necessarily looking for external support. However, we should not assume that we suddenly have 'free reign' — personal responsibility is crucial to long term progress. The ongoing Jupiter-Chiron square continues to remind us of the need to Stand Firm in our personal truth while also allowing others the freedom to do the same. Our sensitivity is increasing exponentially but so is our capacity and capability. In essence, the 'Water' is getting deeper — increasing both our power and our challenges as we look for ways to take advantage of the increasing 'light' from the waxing Moon. Venus arrives at the point of last week's New Moon at the end of the week and trines Neptune, lending an inspiring, optimistic 'glow' while keeping our aspirations high and the idealism building. Next week's Gemini Full Moon (December 4, 3:13 PM PST, 13° Gemini/Sagittarius) will be ruled by Mercury as it makes the last in the series of Grand Water Trines. That Full Moon will also see Venus approaching the Sagittarius Sun, further encouraging optimism. This week's emotional, idealistic intensity will slowly dissipate. Our intellectual capacity will begin to take over and demand more freedom to explore the options and opportunities that have begun to surface this week. This week's creativity and high aspirations are showing the first, very small signs of 'New Growth', powerfully supported by the rebirth and resurrection suggested by last Wednesday's Scorpio New Moon. Attention to 'the little things' — incremental signs of progress and growth — can help us to ground this week's idealism and high aspirations with responsibility. Our traction will continue to improve as we move past next week's Full Moon and we begin to take advantage of the strong, intellectual foundation offered by Saturn and Mercury's forward motion.

Taming our idealism is the key on Monday. Attention to 'the 'little things' — incremental signs of progress and growth — helps us to ground our aspirations with responsibility. We are offered an extraordinary depth of insight and understanding on Wednesday. However, we may find ourselves facing some significant doubt or lack of confidence. Thursday's atmosphere is filled with high aspirations and extraordinary courage. It is important to stay flexible and respond effectively to unexpected developments. We find a rather expansive atmosphere on Friday that suggests opportunities for widening the potential of future development.
