Weekly Summary: AUGUST 31 - SEPTEMBER 6

"She don't like slavery, she won't sit and beg"

Uranus stations retrograde this week, joining Pluto, Neptune, and Saturn on their retrograde, 'review missions'. The strength of stationing Uranus this week is seen in the highly idealistic, highly intellectual activity ostensibly geared towards providing assistance to others. However, the challenges that we're seeing this week aren't easily solved by just 'thinking things through', even with the sharpened intellect that is being offered. Mercury arrives in Virgo on Tuesday and activates the point of the last New Moon (August 22nd, 11:06 PM PDT 0° Virgo). Mercury quickly squares Uranus on Wednesday — while also completing an intense YOD configuration with Neptune and Pluto. Intellectual intensity is brought to bear on the initiative energy that was launched at the beginning of the current lunar cycle. The intensity is 'ramped up' by an incredibly impulsive Mars-Jupiter square that completes on Thursday. It's not easy to stay focused on just one thing at a time. Mars is stirring up Jupiter's idealism but, in Cancer, Jupiter would like to focus on tradition and stability and this creates conflicting imperatives since this week's main push is towards rebellious, intellectually innovative, and independent action. Our mental/intellectual activity is 'super-charged' but extraordinary responsibility needs to be manifested in order to make any effective use of this intensity. Saturn returns to Pisces on Monday for one last examination of the productive uses of compassion and intuitive vision. Saturn's return to Pisces does seem to help — at least marginally — instill us with some of the necessary responsibility. Nonetheless, there is a strong tendency to take impulsive, 'over-the-top', independent action. We may find ourselves losing sight of our interconnectedness and our intrinsic need for others — even when we're 'just trying to help'. Uranus and Neptune will step back into Taurus and Pisces, respectively. Their missions involve resolving issues of the past. But Pluto will not leave Aquarius again during its retrograde process, insistently keeping us focused on the ongoing Aquarian lessons that are reminding us of the interconnectedness of all things. Aquarius may certainly highlight independent individuality, but we are also reminded that we are all simply independent waves on the ocean of humanity. In essence, providing or offering aid to others must begin with compassionate connection and deep understanding, not simply an intellectual analysis of what seems to be needed. This week's intensity is building toward next Sunday morning's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo). Despite the independence and 'rebel spirit' in this week's atmosphere, the message at the culmination of the current lunar cycle will insistently keep us focused on compassion and sacrifice. There are important intuitive clues and messages popping up all around us that can help us to recognize our connection to others — if we are willing to pay attention. With grounded responsibility, we can let go of what isn't working and begin to find ourselves opening up to entirely new ideas and approaches that will ultimately help us to understand the interconnectedness of all things and our individual place within the larger context.

There is an idealistic inclination to offer help to others on Sunday. However, we may not fully grasp what is needed or how to offer help effectively. Stirred compassion may be channeled into productive channels of support for those in need on Monday. However, there may also be a tendency to simply try to 'take charge' — with questionable motives and minimal forethought. It is especially challenging to 'get our bearings' on Tuesday. Impulsiveness builds to unmanageable levels. Our mental/intellectual activity is super-charged on Wednesday — but hopefully not short-circuited! This is a day to look for outside help and avoid trying to do 'everything, all at once — all alone'. There is some help to stay focused on Thursday. It may not be easy to see in this environment but we need others more than we may think. We need to manifest extraordinary responsibility to make the most of the rebellious sense of freedom and independence that is being stirred on Friday. 'Over-the-top' independent action seems to be encouraged. The 'windows are rattled' on Saturday, signaling the potency of the upcoming culmination of the current lunar cycle. Despite the independence and 'rebel spirit' in the atmosphere, the message is to stay focused on compassion and sacrifice.

Sunday August 31, 2025

There is an idealistic inclination to offer help to others today. However, we may not fully grasp what is needed or how to offer help effectively. Mercury's trine to Chiron suggests a great deal of compassion but it is easy to lose sight of the need for discriminating analysis and at least some degree of objectivity. The challenge seems to show up in an inability to blend the sharp insights being offered with effective outlets for our compassion and sympathy. The Moon will extend the Mercury-Chiron trine into tomorrow, forming a Grand Fire trine (Mercury/Chiron/Moon) which may help us find an effective route to productive assistance. Nonetheless, the heightened energy levels encourage a tendency to 'leap before we look'. As well, a Mars-Ceres opposition, early this morning, is likely to stir a great deal of determination to do something — anything to help those who seem to be struggling — for better or worse.

Monday September 01, 2025

Saturn returns to Pisces today, which may help us to make the most of the Moon's trines to Mercury and Chiron. That is, our stirred compassion may be channeled into productive channels of support for those in need. However, there may also be a tendency to simply try to 'take charge' here, with questionable motives and minimal forethought. The Moon trines Mercury this afternoon(4:36 PM PDT) but then makes a square to Saturn (6:38 PM PDT) before quickly moving into Capricorn. There is some suggestion here is that we may be able to step back from our concern for others — at least long enough to gain a broader perspective. Nonetheless, the challenges that we're seeing aren't easily solved by just 'thinking things through', even with sharpened intellect.

Tuesday September 02, 2025

It is especially challenging to 'get our bearings' today. Mercury arrives in Virgo early this morning (6:22 AM PDT) and heads toward a square to Uranus which will complete early tomorrow morning (12:40 AM PDT). As well, Mars is approaching a square to Jupiter, completing on Thursday evening. In essence, impulsiveness is building to unmanageable levels. The Capricorn Moon makes a trine to the Sun this afternoon, which seems to encourage us to stay active — productive. Nonetheless, it isn't easy to focus on just one thing at a time. A lack of clear guidelines or definitive goals is incredibly dangerous in this atmosphere.

Wednesday September 03, 2025

Mercury's early morning square to Uranus is bracketed by the formation of an important YOD with Pluto and Neptune. Our mental/intellectual activity is super-charged — but hopefully not short-circuited! With Mercury on the degree of the last New Moon, we are intensely focused on the initiatives activated by the current lunar cycle. The forming Mars-Jupiter square keeps impulsiveness building all day but the Capricorn Moon, heading towards a sextile to Saturn, seems to help us to stay focused on wrapping up loose ends without veering too far off course. This is a day to look for outside help and avoid trying to do 'everything, all at once' — all alone.

Thursday September 04, 2025

The Moon arrives in Aquarius early this morning (3:31 AM PDT) to quickly trine Uranus, sextile Neptune, and conjunct Pluto. Later in the morning (11:16 AM PDT), the Moon makes a somewhat stabilizing quincunx to Mercury which seems to help tone down the impulsiveness of the Mars-Jupiter square, which completes this evening. This morning's lunar activity may very well help us to stay focused under this extremely intense atmosphere. There is significant determination here but next Sunday's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo) will demand sacrifice and encourage 'letting go' of what isn't working effectively. It may not be easy to see in today's environment but we need others more than we may think.

Friday September 05, 2025

Uranus stations retrograde today, intensifying both our intellectual activity as well as our rebellious impulsiveness. The Uranus station has been strongly activated by Wednesday's square from Mercury which has tended to push us into trying to do more than we really have the capacity to do. The Moon makes a quincunx to Jupiter and a trine to Mars this afternoon, encouraging 'over-the-top' independent action. Since the Moon is 'waxing', this energy will feed directly into Sunday's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo). We need to manifest extraordinary responsibility to make the most of the rebellious sense of freedom and independence that is being stirred today.

Saturday September 06, 2025

The Moon's arrival in Pisces this morning begins to signal the building intensity ahead of tomorrow morning's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo). The Moon squares Uranus at 11:25 AM PDT which 'rattles the windows' as it signals the potency of the upcoming culmination of the current lunar cycle. Despite the independence and 'rebel spirit' in today's atmosphere, the message of the Pisces Moon is helping to keep us focused on compassion and sacrifice. With grounded responsibility, we can find ourselves opening up to entirely new ideas and approaches that help us to understand our interconnectedness. There are important intuitive clues and messages popping up all around us that will help us to recognize our connection to others — if we are willing to pay attention.

Today is Saturday September 13, 2025

Weekly Summary: SEPTEMBER 7 - SEPTEMBER 13

"It is not the end of the physical body that should worry us. Rather, our concern must be to live while we're alive — to release our inner selves from the spiritual death that comes with living behind a facade designed to conform to external definitions of who and what we are."

—Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

This week begins with a Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo) that initially only seems to produce a fuzzy feeling of disconnection. The intensity is somewhat understated, with swirls of emotion that suggest that we are feeling underappreciated. As well, with Mars now separating from the square to Jupiter, we may begin to recognize areas where we've been a bit too impulsive. Ultimately, the Full Moon suggests the need for broad reassessment which seems to come into our awareness rather slowly. This lunar cycle began with the Virgo New Moon (August 22nd 11:06 PM PDT 0° Virgo), suggesting extraordinarily powerful, intellectual initiatives and sudden resolutions. But as we begin the waning phase of the lunar cycle — essentially the 'down slope' — we are faced with a powerful emotional release. Emotions seem to slowly pour out in unexpected and confounding ways. This week's basic challenge seems to involve clearly articulating the 'fuzzy, emotional discomfort' that doesn't feel grounded in anything we can really 'put our finger on' — "its just a feeling". Any residual lack of appreciation or recognition is likely to be especially painful. There is a drifting lack of 'follow through' at the beginning of the week that seems to stall the opportunity for clear resolutions. Awareness is needed to carry out the 'clean up' process that has been initiated by the Pisces Eclipse and clear away the remnants of emotional debris that have been exposed. Both the Sun and Mercury move across the lunar South Node near the end of the week, helping us to recognize the value and importance of our need to release the emotional baggage that has been highlighted by the Full Moon. Mercury reaches the superior conjunction with the Sun at the end of the week. We arrive at something of a Pivot Point — the potential for a fresh start is offered through more effective communication. We can begin to plan new initiatives that aren't so clouded by unresolved past disappointment or disillusion. This week's process of emotional release begins slowly but definitely picks up speed all week, with indications that the process will continue into next week when Mars will oppose Chiron and Venus will both trine Chiron and sextile Mars. The Mars/Venus/Chiron interactions won't fully 'connect' until Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. But this week we can begin to recognize new opportunities to heal relationships as well as our connection to those around us.

There is something like a 'party' atmosphere on Sunday — generosity and good will abound. However, we may easily miss the 'price tag' and lose sight of important clues that suggest the need for a broad reassessment. We may not find as much cohesive 'follow through' as we would like on Monday. As well, the importance of appreciation and compassion may escape our attention under the intense activity that is encouraged. Any residual lack of appreciation or recognition is likely to be especially painful on Tuesday. There is a significant inclination to try to just set our feelings aside or allow things to 'drift' without clear resolution. 'Letting go' is the important lesson on Wednesday. There's a feeling of a fresh start beginning to develop and, hopefully, a bit lighter load. Activity is fairly intense on Thursday and there is a desire to really show off our progress. Even if we don't articulate our message as well as we would like, we should take comfort in any progress that is made and recognize the importance of the process that is underway. We reach an important 'pivot point' on Friday. The release of emotional challenges and the recognition of the potential for a fresh start is becoming fully apparent. Even though there aren't a lot of opportunities to make stable connections on Saturday, there is an amazing amount of visionary 'day dreaming' that feeds the inclination to begin planning new initiatives. New planning begins to unfold although it may not seem very 'orderly'.

Sunday September 07, 2025

At first glance, today's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo) may seem somewhat understated — or produce a fuzzy feeling of disconnection. The Moon sweeps through an important YOD configuration with Venus and Mars, suggesting an uncomfortable lack of appreciation. The Moon's trine to Jupiter may seem to offer something like a 'Party" atmosphere — generosity and good will seems to 'abound'. But there is definitely more here than meets the eye. The Virgo Sun's approach to the lunar South Node suggests that we are seeing the potential for 'flies in the ointment' coming at us from everywhere. As Mars pulls away from the square to Jupiter, we may begin to recognize areas where we've been a bit too impulsive. Essentially, we may easily miss the 'price tag' here or lose sight of other important clues that suggest the need for broad reassessment.

Monday September 08, 2025

The Moon conjuncts Saturn (now back in Pisces) this morning at 10:43 AM PDT before arriving in Aries (at 11:36 AM PDT). Charm and generosity are more easily observed and accepted today than we may have seen yesterday. The Moon's conjunction to Neptune and the sextiles to Uranus and Pluto are remarkably auspicious. Nonetheless, we may not find as much cohesive 'follow through' as we would like. As well, the importance of appreciation and compassion may begin to escape our attention under the intense activity that is encouraged by the Aries Moon. Generally though, we are likely to enjoy a broadly encouraging environment today.

Tuesday September 09, 2025

Last Sunday's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo) has likely left some unresolved relationship issues in its wake. Under the waning lunar cycle, relationship 'snags' may not get the attention that they actually need in order to fully process and release the unresolved issues. The basic challenge seems to involve clearly articulating the 'fuzzy, emotional discomfort' that doesn't feel grounded in anything we can really 'put our finger on'"its just a feeling". Any residual lack of appreciation or recognition is likely to be especially painful today. There is a significant inclination to try to just set our feelings aside or allow things to 'drift' without clear resolution. It seems as though the opportunity to clear away emotional debris (offered by the Pisces Eclipse) needs significant awareness and clear communication in order to fully realize — it won't just magically happen.

Wednesday September 10, 2025

The Moon is VOC all morning following last night's Moon-Mars opposition (11:53 PM PDT). Once in Taurus (at 1:03 PM PDT), the Moon heads towards this afternoon's (3:42 PM PDT) Moon-Pluto square. Mercury gets to the point where the Sun opposed the Moon at Sunday's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo) and the Sun gets to the lunar South Node. Essentially, 'letting go' is the day's lesson. There is finally some opportunity for a 'clean up' through better communication that will continue into tomorrow when the Moon's square to Venus and trine to Mercury will give us the chance to explain 'how we really feel'. There's a feeling of a fresh start today and, hopefully, a bit lighter load.

Thursday September 11, 2025

The Sun has moved beyond the lunar South Node and Mercury moves beyond the South Node by early this evening. The Moon makes an extremely helpful trine to both Mercury and the Sun, which encourages a 'rebound'. The Moon's square to Venus provides enough of a challenge to allow us to fully recognize and appreciate the release of emotional baggage that unfolds today. Activity is fairly intense and there is some desire to really show off our progress. The Moon also makes a sextile to Jupiter this evening, suggesting an undercurrent of independence as well as an expanded philosophical perspective. Even if we don't articulate our message as well as we would like today, we should take comfort in the progress that is made and recognize the importance of the process that is underway.

Friday September 12, 2025

Mercury is approaching the superior conjunction with the Sun today — completing early tomorrow morning (3:51 AM PDT). We are reaching an important 'pivot point' in this incredibly significant lunar cycle, where the release of emotional challenges and recognition of the potential for a fresh start is becoming fully apparent. Mars is approaching an opposition to Chiron and Venus is approaching a sextile to Mars — as well as a trine to Chiron. Basically, the unfolding power of emotional relief is building precipitously. The Mars/Venus/Chiron interactions won't fully 'connect' until next Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Nonetheless, we are already beginning to recognize opportunities to heal relationships and our connection to those around us. Today's message points us towards recognizing the need to honor each 'voice' equally.

Saturday September 13, 2025

As Mercury moves past the Sun today, we can begin to recognize the opportunities for a fresh start of some kind. New planning begins to unfold although there may not be a whole lot of order to today's activity. The Moon's transit through Gemini seems to inspire a significant amount of nervous energy and plenty of chaos. Even though there aren't a lot of opportunities to make stable connections today, there is an amazing amount of visionary 'day dreaming' that feeds the inclination to begin planning new initiatives.

Weekly Summary: SEPTEMBER 14 - SEPTEMBER 20

"You better pay attention, build your comprehension
There's gonna be a quiz at your ascension"

As we move through the waning phase of an extraordinarily powerful lunar cycle, we seem to be presented with increasingly complicated situations that force adjustments and increased understanding. Intuition does not give us as much help as we might hope and we are faced with a number of obstacles that seem to be coming from 'external sources'. However, for the most part, our challenge throughout this lunar cycle has been to clearly articulate our honest intentions and follow through with both determination and adaptability. Recognizing and correcting the issues that surface this week aren't likely to be nearly as complicated as we believe. As well, the more that we focus on who or what we believe is 'standing in our way' or 'blocking our path', the less ability we have to fully comprehend that importance and value of the adjustments that we are being asked to make. The healing assistance that is offered by the Mars/Venus/Chiron connections — Mars opposes Chiron while Venus trines Chiron and sextiles Mars — can seem more challenging that it may actually be. For some, the lessons may seem to be quite harsh, while others find themselves faced with an important 'review' of past lessons learned. The key is to understand how we may be getting in our own way and avoid quickly finding fault with what others may be asking of us. Last week's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (September 7, 11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo) offered a rather buoyant trine to Jupiter — without showing us an obvious 'price tag'. As the Moon wanes in light, we can begin to recognize various 'details' might not be quite what we had hoped. Even so, with enough empathy, faith, and compassion — for both ourselves and those around us — the lessons offered this week will provide everything we need in order to adapt effectively and move forward. Next week's Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse (12:53 PM PDT 29° Virgo) will provide more focused intellectual insight than we may expect. Both the Sun and Moon will quickly move beyond the oppositions to Saturn and Neptune and form a Grand Air Trine with Uranus and Pluto, suggesting considerable ability to recognize new opportunities as they are presented — if we can avoid becoming distracted by what seems to have been taken away.

Our confidence wanes throughout the day on Sunday, encouraging isolation or withdrawal. But there are important lessons to be learned and significant adjustments that can be made. For some, Monday may feel more like a 'review', while others may find that the lessons feel rather harsh. With awareness, we can appreciate the amiability without falling prey to any deceptive flattery or other suggestions that we're only in for 'smooth sailing' moving forward. Deep empathy and compassion is called for on Tuesday but balance and awareness is also needed. There is an extremely complicated environment, demanding careful adjustment and steady attention. There is complicating mix of compassion, idealism, and intellect in Wednesday. Essentially, we're quite stuck in trying to 'think it all through' without clear signposts or guidelines. Thursday's intellectual activity can be easily steered towards deception and manipulation or sometimes a 'too clever by half' operation that only leads to significant confusion. The need for balance and awareness is critical but easily misunderstood. Ultimately, Friday's challenge seems to be to find a way to be completely honest and direct about what we really want to accomplish. In essence, any lack of clarity in our intentions requires attention and adjustment. Complications reach an intense culmination on Saturday. The main obstacles actually seem to be centered around difficulties 'holding things together' — when we might do better to allow them to fall apart.

Sunday September 14, 2025

The activity of the Moon this morning may encourage some optimism — a trine to Mars and sextiles to Venus and Chiron. However, this afternoon's Moon-Saturn square is likely to take the 'wind out of our sails' rather harshly. Our confidence wanes throughout the day today and the Moon's arrival in Cancer encourages isolation or withdrawal. But there are important lessons to be learned here and significant adjustments that can be made. The more that we can embrace the opportunities to better understand the swirl of emotion coming to light, the quicker we will find the value of the 'lessons learned' today. Rather than wallowing in uncertainty or indecisiveness, heading directly to the 'root causes' will bring remarkable resolutions.

Monday September 15, 2025

Venus and Mars make a lovely sextile today, encouraging plenty of charm and amiability. With Mercury's position near the midpoint of the sextile, there even seems to be an outlet for comfortable communication. Nonetheless, this environment is not nearly as 'easy going' as we might hope. With Mercury approaching an opposition to Saturn and Mars approaching an opposition to Chiron, the need to build broader awareness is inescapable. For some, this may be more like a 'review', while others may find that the lessons feel rather harsh. With awareness, we can appreciate today's amiability without falling prey to any deceptive flattery or other suggestions that we're only in for 'smooth sailing' moving forward.

Tuesday September 16, 2025

Today's Mars-Chiron opposition is eased somewhat by the Venus-Chiron trine. Deep empathy and compassion is called for but balance and awareness is also needed. This is an extremely complicated environment, demanding careful adjustment and steady attention. Intuition is not nearly as reliable as we might hope. Last week's Pisces Full Moon Eclipse (September 7, 11:08 AM PDT 15° Pisces/Virgo) offered a rather buoyant trine to Jupiter — without an obvious 'price tag'. As the Moon wanes in light, we can begin to recognize various 'details' might not be quite what we had hoped. Recognizing and correcting any potential 'issues' is not nearly as threatening or arduous as we may believe from today's perspective. Clear-eyed compassion and empathy — for ourselves as well as those around us — is crucial to navigating today's complications.

Wednesday September 17, 2025

Vesta arrived in Sagittarius at the end of last week after making a trine to Saturn. Vesta has begin 'connecting' to the 'outers' (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) and today makes an opposition to Uranus and sextile to Pluto. Unfortunately, this only seems to add to the complicating mix of compassion, idealism, and intellect. Mercury's Virgo/Pisces opposition to Saturn today — followed up by an Aries/Libra opposition to Neptune tomorrow further complicates our ability to easily rely on intuitive clues and insights. Essentially, we're quite stuck in trying to 'think it all through' without clear signposts or guidelines. The basic lessons continue to encourage us to focus on compassion and 'let go' of those things that are actually already slipping out of our grasp.

Thursday September 18, 2025

Mercury arrives in Libra early this morning and quickly opposes Neptune and trines Uranus. This equation seems to encourage intellectual action but the need for faith and compassion is actually the overarching concern. Today's intellectual activity can be easily steered towards deception and manipulation or sometimes a 'too clever by half' operation that only leads to significant confusion. The need for balance and awareness is critical but easily misunderstood. Intuition is not really helped by the Mercury-Neptune opposition on the Aries-Libra cusp. Indecisiveness, coupled with some tendency for 'people-pleasing' holds us back from direct confrontation. Late this evening, a Mercury-Pluto trine may give us a moment of "what I should have said was…!" but few clear responses to really bring clarity.

Friday September 19, 2025

The Moon accompanies Venus into Virgo this morning, shortly after 5 AM PDT, creating another YOD with Neptune and Pluto at the point that was highlighted by last month's Virgo New Moon (August 22, 11:06 PM PDT 0° Virgo). As the waning Moon and the Pisces/Virgo eclipses chip away at the initiatory power of this current lunar cycle that began last month, we may find ourselves feeling significant skepticism — or even cynicism. Tomorrow's Sun-Saturn opposition brings the sense of external challenges to a crescendo. However, what we are really facing is a more 'nuanced' challenge with far more internal opposition than we may want to admit. Ultimately, the challenge seems to be to find a way to be completely honest and direct about what we really want to accomplish. In essence, any lack of clarity in our intentions requires attention and adjustment.

Saturday September 20, 2025

Complications reach an intense culmination today, ahead of tomorrow's Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse (12:53 PM PDT 29° Virgo) which will tightly oppose Saturn. The Sun-Saturn opposition actually completes today, seemingly putting us 'at odds' with some kind of apparent 'external obstacle'. The main obstacles actually seem to be centered around difficulties 'holding things together' — when we might do better to allow them to fall apart. A Venus-Uranus square produces some extremely challenging relationship struggles which only amplifies the feeling that the problem is 'other people' and not our own inability to honestly express our true intentions. The fact is, we need the advice and support of others more than ever at this point. Slowing down enough to fully appreciate the value of the guidelines that are seemingly 'holding us back' — or 'keeping us down' — isn't easy.
