Mars-Saturn Trine — Focused Energy

As we begin a new lunar cycle, initiated under last Saturday's Libra New Moon (8:49 AM PDT 17° Libra) and ruled by the retrograding Venus in Scorpio, we are likely to feel somewhat 'stuck'. There is a somewhat heavy 'circumspection' to sort through — a recognition of the need to develop a well-considered 'new plan of attack'. Although we may struggle to make sense of the available information, we do have a chance to initiate a process that can help to clear away deep uncertainties by 'digging deep' and honestly facing vulnerabilities and insecurities. Mars in Leo is heading toward a trine to the retrograding Saturn in Aries that will complete on Friday — just after the direct station of Pluto in Aquarius. The Mars-Saturn trine provides a 'launching pad' and plenty of fuel for Pluto's return to transformative direct motion. The Sun offers direct support, forming a sextile to Jupiter in Leo while Thursday's Sagittarius Moon makes a trine to Jupiter and a sextile to the Sun. This is offering a deep burst of optimism but we need enough awareness to recognize the need to take time to consider options and avoid any rash or reckless waste of the powerful energies. A considerable amount of responsibility and methodical follow-through is demanded in order to make use of the energies that are stirring. Saturn's interaction with Mars does not bring restriction to Mars but rather, offers an intentional, methodical sense of purpose that helps to shape and focus our energy. Our intuition plays an outsized role in how we make use of the energies that are stirred this week. Venus will return to make the second of three squares to (now direct) Pluto early next week, providing extra determination to find lasting resolutions wherever we feel stuck. By the end of the week, much of the 'stirred up' energy already seems to begin to dissipate, leaving us a bit at 'loose ends'. Although we are approaching an activating 1st Quarter phase of the lunar cycle — at the beginning of next week — there are significant challenges to understanding where our efforts are taking us. Even if our 'vision' isn't cloudy, we struggle to understand exactly 'what we're looking at'. Our pride may keep us from fully admitting that 'we just don't know' how to put the pieces together. However, we should not discount the power of Grace, Destiny, or Fate to assist our efforts when we simply 'present ourselves for service'. Next week's Venus-Pluto square and the 'inferior' Sun-Venus conjunction on the Libra-Scorpio cusp will help us bring together our insights, determination, and energy and begin to actually execute the 'new plan of action' that we are developing this week — even if we can't quite see it from here.

Although we may struggle to make sense of the available information on Sunday, we have a chance to initiate a process that can help to clear away deep uncertainties. There are significant vulnerabilities to deal with and we need to tread very carefully. There are a myriad of complications to unwind on Monday that may feel quite challenging. Nonetheless, opportunities for resolutions abound when we 'dig deep'. Our emotions may be intense on Tuesday but we find few outlets. We may begin to recognize how our pride has been stalling or disrupting our attempts to find solutions or resolutions. Wednesday kicks off an intense round of 'direct action' — a transcendent, transformational force aimed directly at our basic structures. We may not see as many results as we might expect but steady effort offers tremendous potential for future progress. We need enough awareness to recognize the need to take time to consider options and avoid any rash or reckless waste of Thursday's powerful energies. Our intuition plays an outsized role in how we make use of these energies. There is less energy and more need for caution on Friday. We need to carefully consider our situation or position with an eye towards establishing a new sense of balance. We face the challenge of seeing quite a bit more than we can really do anything about on Saturday. The 'stirred up' energy seems to have dissipated, leaving us a bit at 'loose ends'.
