Gemini Full Moon

Gemini Full Moon - Powerful Intellect

"Learn to remember you got great friends, don't forget that and they will always care for you no matter what. Always remember to smile and look up at what you got in life."

—Marilyn Monroe

We reach a Gemini Full Moon (3:13 PM PST 13° Gemini/Sagittarius) on Thursday of this week which offers a deceptively powerful intellectual strength that can be easily underestimated. The Full Moon is exactly square to the Virgo/Pisces lunar nodes, suggesting some rather chaotic, fate-like shifts. Our intellectual foundations are sure to be tested. Nonetheless, the intellectual depth of Mercury's direct motion back through the last degrees (and deep waters) of Scorpio offers courage and a foundation of deep research and investigation. The overall tone of the Full Moon is infused with vitality and a strong desire for freedom. Venus arrives in Sagittarius at the beginning of the week, joining the Sun and Mars. The Sagittarius 'luck factor' comes into play, especially at the end of the week. But the most important element that the Full Moon highlights is our close connection to those around us. The past efforts that we have made to connect with others will offer significant rewards as we begin to close out this lunar cycle. This week's culmination of the powerful lunar cycle that began at the November 19th Scorpio New Moon is certainly a significant 'culmination'. But we also reach another important culmination as well. Mercury, now direct, returns to make the third of three trines to Jupiter and Saturn, completing a series of activations lasting nearly a month and a half. The series of Grand Water trines was initiated by Mars, all the way back on October 27th. Subsequent activations by the Sun, Mercury, and Venus have continued to activate the nearly exact Saturn-Jupiter trine (the well-balanced and fortunate trine will finally complete on September 1, 2026 when Jupiter is in Leo and Saturn has returned to Aries.). This series of Grand Water trines has fostered deeper emotional connections and deeper understanding as well as improving emotional stability. At this Full Moon, Mercury, ruling the Gemini Full Moon, is forming a trine to Jupiter — which rules the Sagittarius Sun as it's light shines onto the Full Moon. As Mercury follows up on the deep investigation achieved during it's retrograde motion, the results of the deep research are made clear. Mercury's trine to Jupiter expands our perspective and helps us to better understand — and appreciate — the process that we have been living through. But Mercury also has a formidable 'ally' in the stationary direct Saturn, which helps to establish a well-grounded foundation of facts and new information. Mercury has essentially been left 'alone' in Scorpio to complete the series of Grand Water trines and 'purge' any remaining 'debris'. As we move past the Full Moon, we can begin to see that the 'decks have been cleared', providing a powerful new sense of direction and initiative. As we end the week, Mars trines Chiron and then moves towards a somewhat wide-arc YOD with Jupiter and Uranus. This suggests a powerful channeling of our energies, turning our focus towards the future, deepening our connections to others, and further bolstering the dynamic, outspoken courage fostered by the Full Moon.

An optimistic sense of freedom is quite powerful on Sunday. We are also determined to establish an equitable and level 'playing field'. Monday morning's activity is likely to leave us feeling a bit at 'loose ends' for much of the day and generally unsure of where to direct the stirred up energy. It is important to distinguish between tangible and intangible progress and take solace in even the most humble gains. Tuesday's environment seems to encourage us to 'take a stand' but also seems to be rife with the potential for self-righteous indignation that may or may not be clearly justified. We may need to find some way to revise a position that we've fully committed to. We face some significant impulsiveness on Wednesday, stirred up by a strong, idealistic, revolutionary sense of purpose. We may overshoot our target if we aren't as well-organized as we think we are. Thursday's shifts may be quite surprising or completely predictable, depending on our perspective. Our intellectual foundations are sure to be tested. Perhaps the biggest pitfall on Friday is a self-serving attitude that declines to share any good fortune or beneficial advantage with others. There is a significant 'luck factor' at work. We reach a point on Saturday where we can begin to see that 'the decks have been cleared' and we are ready to make use of a powerful new sense of direction and initiative. In essence, this is the 'end of the beginning' and we can begin to prepare for 'a new dispensation'.
