Venus Arrives In Libra

Venus Arrives In Libra - The 4th Kite

"Disorder is inherent in stability. Civilized man doesn't understand stability. He's confused it with rigidity…
…True stability results when presumed order and presumed disorder are balanced. A truly stable system expects the unexpected, is prepared to be disrupted, waits to be transformed."

—Tom Robbins

The waning Moon actually helps to break down intransigence this week. Last week's Aries Full Moon (October 6, 8:47 PM PDT 14° Aries/Libra) may have stirred up a great deal of activity and determination but it has slowly developed into a kind of rigid inertia. However, we can begin to feel a developing Grand Water trine with Monday's Cancer Moon activating the forming Saturn-Jupiter trine. There are strong emotions — funneled through creativity, empathy, and intuition — that are wearing away rigidity in unpredictable ways. The Moon quietly and subtly highlights this slowly developing configuration that will strengthen through the end of this month as Mercury and Mars bring the Water sign energy to a 'boil'. Jupiter (in Cancer) and Saturn (in Pisces) are nearing an exact trine — not fully perfected until next year — which will be stirred to action by the motion of both Mercury and Mars in Scorpio — to form a Grand Water trine under the next lunar cycle that begins next Tuesday (October 21st). The quality of this week's energies under the increasingly prevalent Water Sign emphasis shifts our focus to the power of strong emotions — for better or worse. There are significant tendencies towards impulsiveness, along with heightened idealistic optimism that may be easily dashed or derailed. Nonetheless, as the Water sign energy begins to form 'cracks in the dam' of intransigence and rigidity, there are important opportunities for compromise and surprising breakthroughs. Venus arrives in Libra on Monday (2:18 PM PDT), forming another 'kite' configuration with Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. The formation echoes the connections made by Mars (August 6th), Mercury (September 18th), and the Sun (September 22 — the Equinox). This last 'kite' formation of the year brings new breakthroughs and revelations. Also on Monday, Pluto officially stations direct, opening our path to remarkable, transformative opportunities. Later in the week, an intense, crisis-driven Sun-Jupiter-Chiron cardinal T-square demands that we find some kind of balance, allowing all of the freedom to others that we are wanting for ourselves — without sacrificing our own position or perspective. Venus, now at home in Libra, would like to keep the peace so much that we may feel encouraged — or pressured — to 'go along to get along', without effectively protecting our own individual perspective. Mercury is heading into a conjunction with Mars that will complete at next Tuesday's Libra New Moon (5:24 AM PDT 28° Libra), suggesting that we may be prone to going too far in either direction — too aggressive or too conciliatory — without the necessary balance. Despite the fact that the Moon is waning in light, this week's intensity certainly seems to 'keep us on our toes'. Ultimately, the key seems to be to stay balanced enough to lay a solid foundation for the new initiatives that will become available once we reach the new lunar cycle next Tuesday. Perhaps the biggest challenge that we face is effectively communicating our vision of those new initiatives to those around us. Responsibility, determination, and perseverance are all important to staying on track long enough to reach a New Beginning.

We may feel a bit 'talked out' on Sunday. Perhaps most important is to find ways to establish both intuitive and material 'fronts' in our attempt to break free of what ever feels 'stuck'. Monday's breakthroughs help us to push forward on goals — and even dreams — that may have seemed to stalled up to this point. A path to remarkable, transformative opportunities is opened. Many of Tuesday's opportunities can quickly slip through our fingers if we aren't 'paying attention'. While detachment can sometimes help us to see more clearly, there is some potential to dip into nihilistic fatalism and abandon our individual responsibility to stay engaged in the process. Communication is intensely challenging on Wednesday but offers important gains through perseverance. Finding an opening for some kind of compromise requires close attention and steady effort throughout the day. The increasingly heightened emotional atmosphere on Thursday is a 'double-edged sword', providing healing creativity but also potentially 'overflowing' in unpredictable ways. There is also an element of 'divine grace' that is activated, opening the door to extraordinarily powerful healing resolutions. With some degree of awareness, we can begin to reestablish our balance on Friday. We need to allow all of the freedom to others that we may be wanting for ourselves — without sacrificing our own position or perspective. The stakes are raised on Saturday for finding some kind of balanced approach. Perhaps the biggest challenge that we face is effectively communicating our vision of new initiatives to those around us.
