Capricorn New Moon

Capricorn New Moon - Seeds of Inspiration

"I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples."

— Mother Teresa

This week's waning 'dark of the Moon' period, ahead of Thursday's Capricorn New Moon (3:57 AM PST 20° Capricorn), is especially confusing and 'dark'. Mercury makes the third square to Neptune, stirring up a swirling fog of confusion and creating some bouts of impulsiveness and impatience. Nonetheless, there are 'seeds of inspiration' offered. These 'seeds', when planted, will help us make the most of the new landscape that is on the horizon. Plenty of intuitive clues are offered when we stay patient and maintain an 'attitude of gratitude'. We need a great deal of patience and self-discipline in order to productively make our way out of the fog. The initiatory promise of the New Moon offers important breakthroughs. The New Moon's square to Chiron and tight trine to the nearly stationary Uranus encourages us to share our individuality with courage and confidence. Mercury returns to Capricorn on Saturday and the 'markers' that we put down at the Winter Solstice will show new life. We can find new implications based upon this week's intuitive clues and inspiration. With Mercury's return to Capricorn, our thinking stabilizes. Mercury provides extra support to the already established Mars in Capricorn, aligning our thinking with steady channeling of our energy and effort. Under the rulership of Saturn in Pisces, the Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Capricorn are encouraged to proceed with compassion as well as determination. Our intuition and awareness of spiritual principles can naturally inform the work that we do. Perhaps the most important developments to be made this week revolve around 'building community'. The connections that we make with others and our interactions with those around us take on outsized importance this week. In essence, there is a potential to lay a great deal of groundwork in preparation for the significant shifts that are underway — specifically the entrance of Pluto into Aquarius later this month, as well as the developing conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus that will complete near the end of April. Ultimately, the groundwork that we begin to lay this week has the potential to serve us remarkably well. The main pitfall that we we may face this week is generally related to Capricorn's tendency to sometimes fall back on the fallacy that 'the customer is always right'. Attempts at 'people-pleasing' are counter productive and unnecessary. As we work towards building community we will need to remember to honor our individual perspective.

We may feel an 'inner stirring' on Sunday. Seeds of inspiration begin to form and ideas will begin to take root by Thursday's Capricorn New Moon. We face significant confusion on Monday which may bring a rather aggressive or impulsive approach. We aren't pleased by anything that slows us down or gets in our way. Impulsiveness surges on Tuesday. We will need to remember that we can't 'Push the river'. We face some temporary stumbling blocks on Wednesday. Our creative initiatives may seem to be stalled. The 'New Beginning' we find on Thursday encourages us to seek interactions with others with a mission to 'Build Community'. We are encouraged to deepen the connections that we make. We find opportunities to lay important groundwork on Friday. It is important to 'follow your bliss' and show true affection to those that we are particularly drawn to. The 'markers' that we put down at the Winter Solstice can be seen in a new light on Saturday. While we may not find much traction, the developments will give us important clues about how to aim our trajectory.
