2020 Spring Equinox

2020 Spring Equinox - Threads of Insight

"In so far as one denies what is, one is possessed by what is not, the compulsions, the fantasies, the terrors that flock to fill the void."

— Ursula K. Le Guin

The multiple shifts that occur this week are geared towards making preparations for the expansive growing power of next week's Aries New Moon (March 24th 2:28 AM PDT 4° Aries). Mercury returns to Pisces on Monday after briefly retrograding back into Aquarius. As Mercury recovers the 'lost ground' from the retrograde period, intuitive guidance is well supported and we recover an increasing sense of personal sympathy and compassion. The Sun's arrival in Aries on Thursday marks the 2020 Spring Equinox. We find intriguing threads of insight to follow and begin to feel strong imperatives to expand. Saturn makes the first ingress into Aquarius, increasing support for innovative, structural shifts. The Mars-Pallas conjunction at the beginning of the week increases the imperative to take action as this perceptive conjunction increases our awareness of what needs to be done. By Thursday, Mars conjuncts expansive Jupiter, further encouraging some kind of action. However, while these shifts signal important developments, the waning lunar cycle seems to keep us from finding solid footing. The overall effect seems to create a void of some kind, as though we are in a frustrating limbo, despite the strong inclination to DO SOMETHING!. This week's inspiration and insight will create an important springboard from which we can finally begin to expand our reach and seek the kind of accomplishments that we have been 'visioning' since at least the beginning of the year.

Individual determination is on display on Sunday, along with aggressiveness and strong convictions. However, we'll do better to 'wait and see'. Intuitive guidance improves on Monday with Mercury's return to Pisces. Inspiration is strong but ill-defined on Tuesday. Although we feel driven to accomplish, it is difficult to clearly describe our intentions or find the right 'foothold'. We begin to find some clarity on Wednesday. Although there is still not a clear opening to make tangible progress, we find opportunities to make plans, cut losses and define priorities. The Spring Equinox on Thursday produces intriguing threads of insight and inspiration. Although we may feel driven to accomplish something, we are still in a preparatory phase with few opportunities to make real headway. The Moon is VOC all day on Friday in a lucky, optimistic atmosphere. We should be aware that over-optimism could get us in over our heads. Saturn arrives in Aquarius on Saturday evening, marking a powerful shift towards innovative structural change.
