Sun Ascendant Rulershipsby Esther V. LeinbachPREFACE to Sun Ascendant Rulerships It is well known that all people born under the same Sun sign are not alike. There are many reasons for this, the most obvious being that there are many factors in the chart which contribute to individuality and uniqueness. The exact pattern of the horoscope is never repeated exactly. Nevertheless the influence of the location of the Sun in a particular time produces an effect which is of unmistakable significance. I have found that one of the major keys to understanding basic differences in people born under the same Sun sign can be significantly explained by considering what sign the ruler of the Sun sign or Ascendant is located. For example Mars ruling Aries may be located in any of the twelve signs. Wherever it is found will have a profound effect on how the individual expresses the Aries qualities. The Sun ruling Leo cannot be found in any of the other signs and still represent the Sun sign. It can however rule the Ascendant from any of the other signs. Therefore I have dealt with the Sun's rulership of Leo in this way. The slower moving planets such as Uranus, Neptune and Pluto move so slowly that they affect whole generations. They also affect the sign they transit through on all of us in ways that show up historically. I have therefore considered these in my comments. Return to Book List |
